Oh, god... those starters... are so bad...
I disagree. The only one I didn't really like much initially was Chespin, and that's only because he didn't really look enough like a grass Pokemon. I've just been used to having these obviously grass Pokemon as grass starters for five generations, and he's mostly brown instead of green. However, disliking him just because of that would be disliking him just because he's different from what came before, and I can't stand when people do that. So, when viewing him as a Pokemon rather than just as a starter, he's alright in my book. Now, Fennekin is alright. I don't really have much to say about him, good or bad, but I'll be starting with him simply because I always go with the fire starter first. As for Froakie, I actually like him. I think I'll be choosing him when they make the next sixth gen games (Z? X & Y 2?)
I actually really liked the B/W starters.
I did too...for the most part. I always thought Oshawott was stupid looking, but Samurott's great. That's why I'm waiting to see the evolved forms of the sixth gen starters. Evolved forms always end up making me more pleased with the starters.
The new Pokemon are so unimaginative.
Every generation has stupid or unimaginative Pokemon, even the first. Grimer, Muk, Voltorb, and Electrode are all pretty unimaginative. And I know that newer generations have Pokemon like Probopass (although, he's getting a little old now since he's from the fourth gen), but look at Jynx and Gloom: just as stupid.
I personally wouldn't mind a proper return to the originals.
Well, they already did Fire Red and Leaf Green. It would be kind of weird to do a remake of a remake.
