Popularity Contest Help!

I am doing popularity contest. I make the people put me on a friend quest, and I do the quest and return to them. They say I am their friend, but it only tells me I have two friends when I have done it like 30 times. Can you lose friends. At one point it said I had four friends, now it says I have two. I am evil. Does this effect that?

the more you kill civilians and do evil things they dislike you a little more and you have to be best friends with them btw not just friends i think.

Oooo ok. I guess I will just have to wait until the end when I save everyone and am king or something.

Well what i did in that same situation is just start a new hero and once i got the friendship pack i just became 'Friends' with 20 people in brightwall, i didn't need to become best friends, only 20 friendship quests needed . Hope this helps.
