Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I just realized how flawed the weapon morph thing is. Well not Flawed but more like unfair, because what about the Pure Will User?! What do they get? I mean they have no weapon to morph, unless their will takes a mind of its own and changes based on what it attacks.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

Im sure they'll have the weapons change to will users, possibly have your weapon channel your attacks and change to your perfered spell.
Like if you use shock a lot your weapon begins to have lighting swarm around it and so on.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

it still seems kinda unfair. They really do need a will based weapon that replaces one of your other weapons Rather, have two weapons slots which can carry any two weapons in it.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

Possibly a morphing magic system? You know if your good the more "Divine" your magic looks but the more evil you are the more "cruel" it gets?

Though of course they would need more depth in it.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I'd spare the children so they can breed future burn to bit victims of course

^lol

Peter Molyneus said in one of his interviews that the more gamerscore u have in the game also changes something about your character. im pretty sure it changes ur weapon but im not 100$ he said weapon.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I'm still greatly disappointed at PM. He promised us the ability to be unique, but what if we want to stick to only one type of weapon. I'm absolutely sure we'll be forced to use skill will and strength throughout the whole game. I want to be able to stick to one, say be a skill user with dual guns or two different guns, or a strength user with duel wielding swords(although in my opinion that seems more skill-ish) or two different melee weapons. Or a will user with a staff and maybe a will gun. And of course combinations of those. Like the weapon slots should not be limited to one melee one skill, they should be just weapon slots.

i dont really understand wat u mean by "stick to one". in fable 2 i pretty much only use my pistol so im sticking to one...

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

It's all about finding a balence that works well for you. For example, my primary character was a Strength character; a big fat trader with a huge golden hammer. But he still ended up being tall because there are many benefits from picking off bandits with a rifle to thin the swarm and a nice bit of willpower goes a long way agains a horde of Hobbes or Hollowmen.

My second character was an evil lesbian pirate assassin who specialized in skill, so she used a flintlock pistol and a cutlass. I gave her no physique points and concerntrated on speed and accuracy, but a good bit of practice with the cutlass gave her toughness and Brutal Styles and she had more will lines than my first character due to assassin rush and blade (the more skillful magic).

Even if you do have to use all three diciplines, it doean't mean you can't specialize in one. It's a matter of both character control and compromise.

Stick to one in its entirety. Like Certain parts of the game force you to use other two of the one you prefer.

Which parts? Most of the game all i used was will (Only problem where i had trouble with using will alone was the giant spire and that was merely my fault with aiming)

The snowglobe quest.

And Also throughout the game the flitswitches. And to get a high score in the coliseum forces you to use others. Also the Gargoyles.

when was variety ever an issue?

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I'm still not ready to say throwing weapons are impossible. If we can grab somebody's hand, whats not to say we can pick up a brick and toss it at a Bandits fat stupid skull?

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I don't think they will include many new weapons in Fable 3, I'm pretty sure their main focus is weapon morphing. Even though we won't see many new weapons, I'm still really excited to see how they work this into the game. Btw, I really like the idea about channeling power through a staff ;)

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

Hell yeah to Guard Automantons! I started a whole thread about this recently, I think Steampunk Fable III would be nothing short of epic.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

many people have the idea of scythes in the game, which makes me wonder if there is new weapons in the game, or just new looks for the same old weapon types

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

but fable 3 will more advanced, so i doubt they would use bows, especially with the quicker combat style they want in the game.

Re: Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

They should have longbows, pistols, blunderbusses, rifles, longswords, greatswords, hammers, katanas, and pickhammers. And we should be able to infuse will into weapons.

Just imagine fiery bullets, electric arrows, and a searing hot blade. It would help to replace augments too.
