Project Natal.

Re: Project Natal.

Im more interested in the development of the technology behind Project Natal and what its capable of than seeing games that use it. The tech that it involves is fascinating and id love to see what its truly capable of beyond the gaming boundaries.

Re: Project Natal.

What's wrong with controllers these days? I've always used controllers to play my consoles all through my life and I've found it to be just fine! While, as dear Drakan states, the technology is interesting, I don't see myself actually buying it until we actually have real virtual reality! The "adult" games out there would be ever so... interesting.

But up until that point, it is controllers or mouse/keyboard for me! ^_^

I don't see a kid improving his socializing skills by talking to a piece of software...
Much like when in a therapy situation with a severely traumatised child, for example, they tend to speak to toys, pictures or characters who are not real - Milo would be a pretty good alternative and would also respond, within reason, to what they say. They could talk to him without the pressure of adults...the fact that he's a child would be an encouragement to them rather than something frightening.

Just a thought, really...

While that's all well and good, it doesn't sound interesting to me at all - speaking from gamer's point of view.

Re: Project Natal.

Milo, to me, is not a gaming thing anyway. It's a cute gimmick to show what Natal can do, I guess, but I don't see the use of it otherwise within a gaming context.

Controllers FTW.

I feel the same really, i mean i feel an idiot as it is waving a Wiimote around at my girlfriends house. Never mind sitting talking to some virtual reality character and standing with nothing at all in my hand making actions. However merely using a hand motion to slide through menus and browsers and to interact with stuff would be interesting but not from gaming standpoint.

Re: Project Natal.

Sure, it sounds cool but I like having a controller for playing Xbox. If I wanted to move around, I would just play the Wii. Truth is, I work out twice a day and when it comes time to settle down and game, I would like to sit and relax.

Re: Project Natal.

The real reason we're playing games is to get a break from reality and embark on epic adventures without leaving our house.
