Guys & Gals,
If you have bought or are considering to buy any of the following dlc this applies to you:
Highlander Gear (clothes and tattoos)
Industrial armour outfit
Dye pack
Dog outfit
Dog breed
Many people who have purchased these dlcs over marketplace may have noticed that the dlcs only work with the profile that bought the dlc or redeemed the code.
This is against the law.
If you download directly to your console it clearly states in the usage restrictions (this is not a quote);
This item can be used on all profiles on the first xbox the dlc was downloaded on. If you transfer the dlc or download it again to another xbox then access will only be given to the profile that bought the dlc while signed into live.
Obviously people the dlcs are profile restricted on that first xbox in reality. Don't buy it for each profile but call xbox live customer service. Get them to admit the usage restrictions to you and that there is something wrong. Wait the few days it'll take them to check it out then demand your money (ms points) back!
They broke the law with every sale of these dlcs don't let them get away with it. Call xbox live and demand your rights.
Another thing anyone who buys a retail copy has codes for highlander stuff and dog breed and that is profile restricted but when the redeem code is put in, the usage restrictions clearly says again that it can be used across all profiles on that first xbox it was downloaded on. Obviously this is free and there is nothing to demand back but it did say it would work cross profile.
