Alright, im sure some of you on the forums have experience this before, so im asking for some help or hints to either make things better or to just give up.

Situation:
Typical kind of story, good friend gets a girlfriend, you dont see good mate for awhile, and now its jut impossible to see them.

How do I go about getting them back, or do I just leave it?

ANNND, just as things are getting **** and never ever seeing them, im probably moving a wee while away for a job, sooo, bare that in mind.

HIT ME! .. Owww.. You hit me in the ear! (Double points to whoever gets that)
 
I thought it was just girls who had this problem...

Ok, well, you can try talking (or the male equivalent which I believe involves punching, grunting and a man-hug/bro-fist at the end) and letting them know you miss their company. Or you can just let them get over the excitement of being all gooey with each other (in every possible sense of the phrase) and let him come to you. Or you can do a bit of both - drop him a call or whatever and say that you haven't hung out for a while together and you're off for work soon so how about we meet up, sans girlfriend, and then go from there. Of course, if he won't ditch the female for anyone then you can either say ok, no problem, see you when I see you or give it to him straight - he's spending far too much time with the bit of skirt and is neglecting his mates and should either come up for air or risk everyone dropping him before too long.

All of the above may be utterly pointless but at least you can say you tried.

In my experience I've just let them get on with it. Then act like a total a-hole when they break up. "Oh, now you wanna be my friend, huh? WELL TOUGH LUCK PALLY!"

In all seriousness, you're best to just let them get on with it, or maybe say something but there's no sense in falling out with them because of it. Taking it from another perspective, it can be difficult to be there for both your friend and girlfriend/boyfriend. Making time for both of them can often feel like you have no time for yourself and that you're a slave to both their times. Looking at the girlfriend's/boyfriend's perspective some feel bad about it but some deliberately take them away from their friends(and sometimes family) and some even enjoy it. Some need to realise that if their friends don't like you, you're heading for a serious sh*tstorm down the road. Release those shackles for a while and let the boy/girl out to play.

Just relax, Scarecrow, and talk to him about it. Invite him out to group things and see how it goes. Inviting the GF to come along too couldn't hurt.

Yeah its pretty annoying how girls, tend to pull away the guys because they have breasts, not fair at all! I wouldnt of mind if she stole him for the first few months or so of the relationship, because thats what generally happens, and then the dude slowly gets released back out into the wild.


Oh I forgot to mention something aswell, I think this might make a few of you go a little bit like this :O

In NZ 16 is the legal age for the naughty (sex), he is 20, and she 16.. they have been dating for about a year or so.. Do the maths

Not always the womans fault, the guy has to give in and have the ball and chain shackled to him. Not her fault hes a pushover and lets her dictate what he does. Why not invite them both for a drink with some friends? Why does he just have to come along alone? Surely hes more likely to turn up then, after a while he will start to come out alone. Surely if he knows your leaving soon he will come along, im sure shes not a bad person and isnt intentionally trying to keep him away from his friends. Just get so involved doing things together its hard to make time for others sometimes.
 
You could always just ring/e-mail your mate and ask if you could visit him for a few hours for a brew and a chat, let him choose the day then just pop round. The experience should ignite nostalgia, and hopefully while there you could make plans for the future, include his girlfriend if you think it would help like Drakan said. If you have a girlfriend bring her along and introduce them both, that should give you an excuse to meet up more often, it doesn't always have to be a group thing either, the two girls can go somewhere and you and your mate can go to a bar or something.

If his girlfriends a bit of a control freak though, you might as well kiss your mate good bye until he stands up to her which is up to him. Here's to hoping she isn't.

Bros before hoes is a myth. Settle for seeing him occasionally while the relationship is in its early stages and they can't get enough of one another. It'll equalize out in a bit.
 
You could send her a voucher to get her hair or nails done. Girls like that sort of junk apparently and it might be enough of a gap in their schedule for you to see your friend. Either that or wave something shiny and sparkly at her and she'll be captivated for hours.

Girls are dumb like that.
 
So, tried to hang out with him again this weekend, I gave him something to do and to come hang out, but he responded and said he was looking for something to do and he wasen't sure, so I was pretty annoyed bout that.. so then got hold of him later, he was at a party so I went round with a friend of mine, but then my friend was leaving as soon as we got there, he was driving away with his girlfriend, he stopped, but he didnt even get out or say "Hi", his kid of a girlfriend just said "Hey, if thats Adam, tell him to **** off". I guess I have lost him to the clutches of the vagina, oh well. I did try
 
Sounds like she has a problem with you from either something you have done, something someone has told her or something he has told her. Maybe he did something she didnt approve of and he blamed you or your influence.

I would of thought that too, but, I've only met her once, never said anything about her to anyone really, and the only time i've hung out with him was when he wasn't going out with, plus the only contact with him i've had is by txt message, just asking him what he's doing and if he wants to hang out.. sooo, yeaaaaah..

Have you told anyone who might know them both about him being pussy whipped or under the thumb as we say? Or have you done anything with him before he was going out with her that he or someone else might have told her about? Drunken txts to him about being no fun any more or him coming out without her etc?
