scythe is supposed to still be alive and all that but as far as being powerful where does he rank? I mean the things I have read seem to indicate that the hero from the first fable is more powerful than any hero who came after him and scythe and everybody because he killed jack which nobody could seem to do. but whenever I read about scythe he seems to be portrayed as even stronger than the first fable hero and people question whether theresa is stronger than everybody so I was just trying to see if anyone knew from research or anything else who scythe actually is and if he is truly stronger than the fable 1 hero if he was indeed the strongest. I have played and beaten all 3 fable games but just don't remember it being mentioned anywhere. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

It is widely believe (but often contested) that Scythe is indeed William Black, the Archon hero of which all are descended.

I don't have access to the supporting evidence that makes this credible, but it is available on the fable wikia; so I won't post details in case I misremember. Some interesting reading on there to catch you up on anything you missed. Enjoy.

Thanks I will read that, but what in your opinion do you think of his "hero" level/ do you think the hero from the first fable was tougher? I am also trying to just get general opinions on that too.

In his original form, he would of been the most powerful hero ever, now however in his undead shell, maybe not so powerful. Scythe would be less powerful then the Hero of Oakvale at the time they both existed, or he would have defeated JoB.

Basically, we don't know. He's never revealed any kind of power in the game, aside from a mysterious kind of wisdom, and it's described vaguely in the Tales of Albion when he destroy's the Court, but that may have been the Sword of Aeons' power and not necessarily his.

Note to all: Fable Wikia is a horrible, horrible source of information.

We can guess that Scythe is more powerful than the Fable 1 hero - play The Lost Chapters, go to Snowspire, attack Scythe, and he'll simply say, 'your attacks are too weak' etc.

He is also the only Hero you can't kill in the first Fable game.

William Black destroyed all 3 of the Court, Knight and Queen aswell, and the battle with the Queen lasted weeks and reshaped Albion cause of the chaos, so yeah Scythe is probably 10x stronger than the F1 hero and like 100x stronger than the F2/3 heroes

Scythe > Hollow men? And why did Scythe take in Rose at the end of Fable 2?

Because they are both part of the same family, if you look in the letter Rose says the tall man (Scythe) knows your family... ohhh...
and in fable 1 TLC you see him battling something (i forget what) so obviously he survived and he's quite powerful... in fable one the only semi challenging thing was the ice trolls.... and i think thats what he was battling before his quild seal went out.

It's a summoner he fights with. But yeah, I guess Scythe is more powerful than the Hero of Oakvale.

Summoner! those were pretty awesome looking. hopefully Fable 4 will have some of the more mythical creatures coming back. I find it a little boring killing wolves and beetles all the time. The troll mechanic sucked.. hmm...
