Question about weapon adding

Can you make weapons using gmax?

If so, what do you need to do to get it to work?
I know how to create weapondefs.

Also, how would you skin it?

Re: Question about weapon adding

Yes, I have Gmax, Turbosquid still has it for download. :getlost:
As for the skin, I meant the textures. Also, would Fable explorer mind .jms?

Re: Question about weapon adding

HHmm....

I have .jms for halo, that makes me really mad because the halo map making tools (HEK) usually do not like the models you make, and spit out errors like they were spitfire...

So, would Blender work?

You said in another thread that Blender might not work too well. But, it would work, right?

Re: Question about weapon adding

Just use 3ds max, most tutorials covering Fable modeling are about 3ds max. Get yourself a copy if you want to be in business.

Or: work with something else that can export .x correctly - and work the program your self.
This is what's in the sticky 'new to modding fable' about modeling;

Editing Models
First off: Editing models isn't very hard, but an appliction like 3ds Max isn't like Word or even Photoshop.
It takes a little bit more to learn the basics. So if you want to edit models, prepare to put some time in it.
But: It is worth it!

Re: Question about weapon adding

I would, but I can't. All my trials are gone...

Edit: Nvm, I think I figured it out.
