Re: Questions on PSP

i reccomend getting a psp, they are awesome little machines,

mines the only sony product i own.

they are great in all aspects, except they have quite long load times,

and the battery can wear out pretty quick

but apart from that they are awesome

Re: Questions on PSP

Thanks, I'm getting it for my birthday! :w00t:

Re: Questions on PSP

One thing to remember is if you want to play homebrew (programs made by other people for free, and not made by Sony) you need to get a custom firmware. They will let you get emulators and play gba or snes games:w00t:

Re: Questions on PSP

yea depending which model you get depends on the firmware, but you should be ok with some experimentation

Re: Questions on PSP

So, you mean if someone made a basketball mix type and I want it on there, just convert it or do I need custom firmware like you say?

Re: Questions on PSP

You don't need anything custom firmware to watch movies, and if thats all you're going to to with it, I wouldn't bother with it. But if you're interested in playing gba games on your psp then its a must:w00t:

Re: Questions on PSP

...er.. I have GBA:Color. I need the PSP for at least 3 games, mainly music, better Internet than this one, and some videos. It sounds awesome!

Re: Questions on PSP

Well if thats what you're going to use it for, then just ignore my comments then:lol:

But the GBA emulator is still pretty awesome. I play Pokemon all the time:ninja:

Re: Questions on PSP

OMG! I do too!!!!!! I love the classic Pokemon!

Re: Questions on PSP

Ahh, but can you play it on the PSP? I think not

Re: Questions on PSP

Re: Questions on PSP

Most of the games on PSP are frightfully lame. Its clunky.. Its terribly expensive. Monster hunter freedom is fantastic. It has one or two decent RPG's. DS is really the way to go for unlimited awesome

Then again I'm biased. You can play computer games/run msn/all sorts of awesome stuff on DS. (But you need to know what you're doing for the extras)

Re: Questions on PSP

:O Like real msn, or just chat.... Don't tell me I sold my DS too soon:(

Re: Questions on PSP

I had 2 games that I played on PS1 that are for the PSP. I really miss them I just want to play them. It's also good becase I need a MP3 player as well, and see how the Internet is for it.

Re: Questions on PSP

PSP is crap for mp3s IMHO. Too chunky for practical pocket usage. Thats why I have a Sony Erricson walkman phone instead:w00t:
