Quick Question (hopefully)

Alright, well I've spent a few hours searching/trying things on my own, but I haven't had much luck.

All I'm trying to do is swap weapon models (make the cutlass bluetane look like briar rose's sword when used ingame). keeping all stats/attributes/etc the same, I'm just trying to make one look like another. I've found both models, and tried a couple things. I managed to load a completely silver and texture-less copy of briar's sword in the bluetane's screen, and I messed around with all the import/export/ID number options, trying to make the entries identical, but I wasn't able to get anything to work.

I know it's probably not very difficult, I just have no experience with these sort of things. Thanks for any help!

Re: Quick Question (hopefully)

Well, to make the Bluetane look like BR Sword, there are two options. One, you can go prehistoric and just copy the ID # from BR sword to Bluetane. But the best way to do it is to do the following:
1. Open up the Mesh of Briar Rose's Sword.
2. Click Save Model LOD, and save it somewhere you'll be able to find it. Just minimize the BR Sword Mesh Window.
3. Open up the Bluetane Mesh and click Load. Select the previously saved mesh from step 2.
4. This should leave you with a silver shape of the desired weapon. Now Maximize the BR Sword Mesh window and click on the Materials tab. All you'll need to change is the Base Texture ID and the Max Texture Layers. So make thhe Bluetane windows look like the BR Sword ones. For Example, If one of the materials is Degenerate Triangles, and the BRS Base Texture ID was 1234, then thhat is what you would change the Bluetane Base Texture ID to. When changing the values MAKE SURE TO USE BOTH APPLY CHHANGES BUTTONS. There should be one under unknown 4, and one in the usual spot. Hit the bottom one first, then the top one.
5. Go back to the preview screen, and see if you have achieved the desired effect.
Hope this helped ;)
