Raise The Character Post Minimum?

Alright, just as a thought, because people have been, recently, making posts that just barely go over the 5 character post minimum. Things like:

lol...
yeah.
agreed.


Maybe if we raised the character minimum for each post, it might help things a bit. Maybe to 15 or 20? Just so it adds more to the conversation. Maybe it will do nothing, but it wouldn't be all that hard to raise the post minimum would it? Or maybe I am just getting overall too suggestive. :lol:

15 is a little much and people seem to try and avoid it by using smileys or just excessive '.....' can see where your going with it though.

Yeah, I do see alot of the "..." when they can't fill up the minimum. Maybe 10? but then you would get "lol.......". Man, stopping useless spam is harder than I thought... You guys must have a hard job sometimes. :lol:

I suggest Warnings or TimeOuts for Spam-Posts, like they do on some other forums.

Yeah im going to be enforcing that soon as like id said previously ive started to grow really tired of it. Repeat offenders will receive infractions for blatant spam posts.

All ideas had a downfall. Just trying to make some suggestions, but seeing as only a few people are causing major spam issues as of late, it wouldn't really do all that well. Only 3-4 people are really causing any problems here, so maybe a few more direct things should be arranged. Well, the mods will do what is necessary to help rid us of the problem.

Okay, fine, so that post right there was rather pointless itself. But, anyway, the short little posts that consist of nothing but "lol.....XD" are so damn annoying. Please, anything that might reduce them. It's even more annoying since I kinda rely on the subscription notifications-- I log on, go to my CP, and then I have fifty billion (okay, so I exaggerate) threads I was in that were replied to... and half of them the replies consist solely of an abbreviation and a smiley.

Yeah i know exactly what you mean and they add nothing to the thread and also people cant reply to them. So there can be no discussion from those posts just meaning they are nothing but spam.
