Ranged Weapons

Question:

does anyone use bows instead of guns in this game?
as soon as i played i was excited about all these new guns and couldnt imagine going back to such primal weaponry such as bows and arrows.

are there any advantages to using a bow instead of a gun?

rifles: have high power but a fairly long reload time
crossbows:have a medium power and a not very long reload time
pistols:have the lowest power but have the quickest reload

He didn't want any specs, he wanted to know if anyone used bows instead of guns.

I use guns, preferably a pistol.

and really, even if crossbows were like a bazzillion times better than guns, i would still use guns. nothing better than blowing off the head of some jerk highwayman

well i just dont like the guns.... i use them from time to time, but i prefer the crossbow. (specifically the Rammer).

I have all the legendary weapons, but i just dont like them[guns] that much... Might be because none of my guns give me health every time i use it...

you must get hit alot. as long as i stay with my trusty red dragon nothing gets close to me, and if they are close to me then they wont have heads

Nope the first thing I did was get me something that uses gun powder, like a stroke of luck I found a rusty pistol as I embarked on my quest to save the slaves from the evil bandit thag

Now I use a master turret rifle and no, I would never go back to crossbows

Red Dragon or The Perforator over a crossbow anyday; there's no feeling quite like blasting someone's head off with the Red Dragon.

My most favorite ranged weapon is the enforcer. Its like a one hit kill to everything.

Cant you get a augment for that? Everytime you shoot the gun (or swing your sword if you put it there) it gives you their health? Not tryen to be cheeky, just wondering...cuz i thought i had that augment...Ghoul or somthin:blush:

I prefer using the Red Dragon as well. It's just a nice looking weapon IMO. Besides, it might sound silly, but I would rather use a nice-looking item, than a silly looking powerful weapon. (I.e Iron Katana vs. Master Hammer, i'd choose Iron Katana.)

My Master Flintlock Pistol has flame augment & the Lucky Charm augment so I so My Pistol kills in one hit

I prefer using the Red Dragon as well. It's just a nice looking weapon IMO. Besides, it might sound silly, but I would rather use a nice-looking item, than a silly looking powerful weapon. (I.e Iron Katana vs. Master Hammer, i'd choose Iron Katana.)

Same goes for me; I'd would rather use the Legendary weapons because they look cool and are unique, then use a master weapon with better augments just because its statistically better.

i love my red dragon its so much fun going on pilages and blowing off peoples balls...lolololol....but serously i prefer the gun over crossbow preferbly the pistol because it takes a true gunslinger to use the red dragon and also to get

I didn't like using bows in Fable (urgh, they were so slow and useless against Balverines) and crossbows at the start of the game seemed so sluggish and ineffective while Bandits on top of the hill just pelted me with bullets. I like me gun, good for a head shot when you back away from an attack and it's a better finishing move than some of the flourishes.

Yeah, my hero uses a Master Clockwork Rifle with Devastation and Lucky Charm augments, a lot like the Red Dragon. With my speed though, it pretty much acts like an assualt rifle, oh yeah.

It even notes on the load screen that some Legendary Weapons may not be as powerful as Master Weapons, but they have interesting augments.
