RDR: Bear Hunting

So whos hunted bears? do you find them hard? and what gun do you use? ( they are found in tall trees) right ive hunted over 20 and got around 2k from it i find them easy despite what everyone says they are hard! just use a semi shotty. Your thoughts?

Seems kind of unnecessary to have spoilers in a thread of spoilers, even the title is a spoiler. :lol:

I haven't met one yet, but I'm sure to keep an eye out for them now. What I want to know, is are there rattlesnakes in this game? When riding out I often hear them but never see them, read around on Google and I see people claiming to have been bitten by them and dying.

Yeah, I've killed plenty of the little snake *******s. And bears are fairly easy to kill... As long as they don't sneak up on your ass! Christ, those things are bloody ninjas! And sometimes when you kill one, more will be there. And then more. And then more. So when in Tall Trees, just watch your back and be alert.

But yeah, other than that, easy to kiill. I like to use my Buffalo Rifle. Wipes the *******s out easy.

Anyway bear hunting is harder alone, but a lot funnier with other people, watcing them get mauled and torn apart. I haven't had access to the bear infested areas in single player so I've only hunted them online...therefore I couldn't collect pelts or meat. What's the value of bear parts?

And my GOD! I was just doing the Survivalist Master 10 and you are in the north in Tall Trees and... Oh my freakin' Lord! SO MANY BEARS! THEY JUST KEEP COMING MAN! I must've ****ed them off or something. And guess what Hunter Master Challenge 8 is? You guessed it.. Shank and skin a bear! Oh, how fun! But now I can't find any. Must have scare the big buggers off.

Hahaha I got lucky. After I died I had to save one of those strangers and guess what was chasing him! A bear! So I popped a Buffalo Rifle shot into his ass, then whipped out my knife and would chase him up to his side and slash him and then repeat.

Now I'm on 10. My last challenge. WOOOOOOOO!!!! YOU ARE GOING DOWNTOWN LOBO!

I was doing some survivalist challenge and out of nowhere 4 cougars attacked me from behind. Until this point I hadnt even seen any and they took me by surprise, i died...

Same happened with a stupid Boar that i wasnt expecting to be there or be so angry.

My friend was going 3v1 (1 being him) and when the 3 got close, mother nature decided to side with him. Cougar+2 bears=Shredding/Mauling of their bodies, then corpses. RDR math.
