RDR: Online Lobby

Okay, good idea IN THEORY, but thus far it doesn't work very well. It is supposed to be a place to find posses, set up games, and do gang hideouts together. But everyone just ****ing kills each other. The problem is it is becoming the only thing to do online. People kill each other without question, no one is in the game chat or doesn't have a mic, and if you are new and get killed, what do you do? You kill others! I met a few people yesterday, explained to a new guy there was more to just killing, and we started doing gang hideouts and stuff in a 6 man posse. Was pretty fun. Now I'm playing again, and all people do is kill each other. That's it! It is ridiculous. You should HAVE to be run through a tutorial on how to play online if you are this ****ing stupid. Really damn annoying.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Id just go on with my own party instead of randoms.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

I would go in a private freeroam with just my friends, but I want a few achievements that you NEED to to public freeroam.

But I am loving how no one uses deadeye online. Fools!

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Yeah, I played online for about 2 minuets. It was just a bunch of kids ****ing around killing each other, and nobody was on anybody's side, they where just shooting anything that moved. And all our guns where invisible. WTF? So I just left. Which reminds me, I might just be blind, but I can't find an exit option in this damn game at all. The only way I can quit is to exit to dashboard. Isn't there a way to exit to the main menu (in either online or single player)?

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Hahaha I was just playing and I was roaming the hills up north alone and found a nice sniping spot from the story missions. I took them all on and killed them all in a total of 10, never missed a single sniper shot! Then I tossed some dynamite down there and BOOM!!! I actually killed them! Well, 2 of them. then I moved a bit down and sniped them from a cliff edge and eventually made it all the way down and left. Then they sent me a message saying they kicked my ass because I left the mountains and joined a friends free roam.

If anyone wants to know the original spot i was sniping from in the story, it is in the spoiler.

Where you make the first trip up with Nastas using the unguarded entrance and you kill the guy with binoculars. I was using the rock as a cover piece and sniping them as they tried to shoot me from the gates. And I blew them up with dynamite as they moved forward into the tent area. :D

So that is what you get for being a jackass posse who hunts down lone players.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

The people **** me off, especially because now I'm trying for the challenges where I have to do certain gang hideouts without dying at all in the same session, and there's assholes that actually come after me. So I just make a posse or join the biggest one and get them to help me with the hideouts, or at least take care of those dirtbags.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Join a public posse with 7 friends. Everyone stays away from you if you stay together.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Gaaaaah, me and my friend almost had that achievement where you are a public enemy for 10 minutes. We even sent the guys messages asking them not to kill us. So 9 minutes in, they come and kill us both. Arseholes.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

^hey I need that challenge also, I'd love to help you help me help us do it. And also take care of some newbs who don't understand the meaning of rape when in my personal bubble.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

Three times now I have tried multiplayer and its nothing but a complete cluster****. Its not the game, its the community. I can't believe that Rockstar didn't realize that the average gamer is nothing but a little dip**** that will kill anything and everything he possibly can. And the only way to get any teamwork is to force it by not allowing players to kill each other. Hell, even then most players won't act as a team. But at least that way I could get away from the gawdamn spawn point and accomplish something, maybe even get past level 1. Players should only be able to kill each other by issuing a challenge to another player/posse and having them accept.

That said, should anyone be online at the same time as me, I would really appreciate an invite, I'm sick of playing with randoms.

Re: RDR: Online Lobby

I played it online for 1 time at a friend and i wanted to do a gang hideout and there were some guys at the entrance of the hideout so it tought lets invite them to my posse.
I walk up to them i ask them to join my posse and they just start shooting :S
The people online are stupid little kids seriously and they cant even aim too.
Its fun when you play in a posse but not when you get shot all the time..
