Red Dead Question

There's a secret achievement where I must keep my same horse (never switch at a hitching post) for 20 consecutive missions. I've beaten the game so would I have to restart in another save to do this or could I replay 20 of 'em?

You would have to start a new game m8 I unlocked this without even meaning it lol but i hear a lot of people have missed out on getting it. Just do all the missions leading up to the first couple in mexico using the same horse and it should unlock for you

When you get to mexico whistle for your horse rather than riding the one that has been supplied for you over there cos then it will prevent you getting the achievement and NEVER hitch a different horse to the hitching post as that will alos prevent you getting the chievo ! Hope this helps m8 !

Lol jokes wasn't it ? I was tryin to get the chievo for doin all the gang hideouts which you helped me with btw ! +rep I also managed to get the most wanted for 10 mins and escape one before all those other pricks joined lol

^Lucky. The first time a tried that I was at 9 minutes and the ******* actually chased me so I was running from mexican armies and him and I ended up dying...falling off a cliff (pressure gets to me). The second time I was at around 7-8 mins and some asshole hunted me down and instead of facing me (I was camping with a shotgun) he tossed a dynamite which on my screen hit the side of the tower I was on and fell down, BUT apparently killed me. Then a bunch of pricks joined so I didn't even bother.

^Thanks, but I managed to get the achievement today by making an insanily huge loyal posse that protected me at El Presidio while I did it.

If the horse dies, but you reload a save game, does it count as it dying?

Because he drowned 3 times -.- Stupid AI.

Well I had the War horse for the pre-oorder and at the time I didn't wont to change horses out of fear of it never coming back ! :lol: Then Voilà ! Cheivo . . .awwwww yeahhhhh

For the longest time I just kept the Hungarian Half-bred you get in the mission with Bonnie. I had no idea how to even change you horse until later on.

And my horses have been good to me, not too much stupidity. Once wandered off into the water once, and one fell of a cliff. But all the time I heard my friends: "No, no, no, horse, stop, NOOOO GET AWAY FROM THOSE ****IN' TRACKS YOU STU... ****. Another one wandered in front of the damn train! Why is it always near me!?" Damn trains are always near you when you least want them to.

^The Hungarian Half-Bred is obtained in Mexico, the one you get with Bonnie is the Kentucky Saddler

Ya my horse does some pretty stupid stuff, but what I hate most is when you're on your horse during combat and you're taking fire, it kicks up and you can't shoot or do anything and I end up dying. I thought being able to fight on horseback was one of the mechanics...guess not.

The worst was when I was doing a bounty. No probs with my horse getting there and it didn't get in the way when the inevitable gun fight ensued.

As soon as I had downed all the bounties goons and had lassoed him I whistled for my supposedly resilient and battle hardened 'War Horse' and it got within two feet of me and slumped to the ground.

Dead, mind you! :realmad:

Which was exactly how I ended up after i had no mount with which to return my bound up bounty. I look back and laugh at it now now but I swear I blasted an entire Evans Repeater Clip into my deceased failure of a horse just before one of the bounties backups promptly blew my brains out ! lol

Does anyone have a problem online when your on your horse and it just randomly "trips" (I guess you could say) and dies? It's happened to me like 4-5 times.

Trips?! You sure it just wasn't some asshole headshotting your horse cos the animation the horse makes is VERY similar to a tripping motion lol

Lol no I was in a private match, I had just cleared Tesoro Azul and when i whistled for my horse it came, I got on, we were riding out of town, and it tripped and died and said Evan52395's horse _____ (something I forget), but it doesn't say was killed, or found the ground. But nothing happens and it just dies. That was my experience today, I've had others.
