yes, and that's exactly what I was going for, thank you for noticing >)

I would think the freakin' club members would have one to spare. I give items away all the time, its part of being rich. If you play the game you hear people ask for stuff as part of the town atmosphere, and if you ask you will receive.

YOU just don't know how to get along with others. So screw off.

Re: Red Dragon Club

I'm back! I went on a short hiatus since interest seemed low but hey, there's still replies : D
PM me if you would like to join. I've got pointers to help with succeeding at the shooting range, but that's not something I'll disclose here since it's kind of the point of the club that you triumphed over that obstacle. (If you must, PM me and I'll give you the pointers/guidance.)

You're not alone man. I deem the red dragon as the most overrated gun ever. If only there were a pvp to prove how much better a Master Repeater Crossbow or any other master ranged weapon is better, plus 4 augment slots.

Oh and by the way, there's an augment much better than golden touch which just combines the affects of it with another augment. I forgot what its called but i think you may need a good economy for it, then again i don't know i have like 4 for some reason, its the "its not luck" augment. You take less damage, and deal more, and find gold on your fallen enemies. The augment can really save an augment slot.

Actually, looking at it now:
MFP
Flame's Gift (flame and +atk/+def)
Renewal (ghoul and anti-scar)
Power of Money (gold and anti-scar)
Devastation (+ dmg)

MFR
Flame's Gift (flame and +atk/+def)
Luck and Life (ghoul and +atk/+def)
Power of Money (gold and anti-scar)

Master Cutlass (MC)
Positively Charged (elect and +atk/+def)
Renewal (ghoul and anti-scar)
It's Not Luck (gold and +atk/+def)
Devastation (+dmg)

None of that was even for you, it was for someone asking for the RD when this is clearly not the Marketplace nor is it what we're talking about. You're defending ignorance, which isn't bad, but you're doing it in a harsh way :(. You're saying I'm wrong for pointing out the obvious when someone didn't realize it and you went on a rant that meant nothing. It's really not a big deal.

Anyway, that's pretty much by definition a troll. You can square with that however you like.

a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

in·flam·ma·to·ry
–adjective
1. tending to arouse anger, hostility, passion, etc.: inflammatory speeches.

2. Arousing passion or strong emotion, especially anger, belligerence, or desire.

bel·lig·er·ence
–noun
1. a warlike or aggressively hostile nature, condition, or attitude.

Yes. So I was trolling. That's not all I do, however. I'm actually quite human and I'd like you to see that side of me.

It's Not Luck is a Knothole Island exclusive. Like some other augments its only available after certain times in the game. For this one, you have to reach Westcliff and have the DLC and do the first and second Knothole Quests.

I wasn't making up. I didn't have anything else to say to you. I don't know if I would call you a troll or a kid, it remains to be seen. I can see you were intending to clean the thread but your method just served to soil it. Its a hard thread to die too, so we're all going to keep seeing it. There are many threads, each with real value. You don't deserve to be commented on any more than the guy asking for a free-be. But I chose to say something because I felt you were more in the wrong. I said this to you knowing that Mods and other users would indubitably think I was a troll. Who cares, I did what I felt like doing because I'm online too much.

Re: Red Dragon Club

I think the guy arachniphobic (?) on this forum put together a real bang up guide for the augmentations and their effects on weapons. From what I gather there are 4 augment classes that boost damage, two of which boost base damage (increasing the drain life effect). The recommended set up requires an augment for fire, lighting, luck and skill.

I've performed totally unscientific tests with a master flintlock vs. The red dragon against commandants. The red dragon took 12 rounds (which took about two seconds, maybe it could have been faster if you spam the y button more) all headshots to down the guy. In the same area a Master Flintlock Pistol with appropriate augments took 1 headshot unzoomed.

For as early in the game as you can get the rd, it's a great gun. But once you start seeing master weapons in knothole (as soon as you finish the second mission?) it's worth it to invest in 4 slot master weapons.

My MFP :

Mighty oak (armor/luck)
Flame resistant (fire/anti-scar)
Positively charged (lightning/luck)
Skill and beauty (skill/beauty)

On my master cutlass (I like the looks) I have the luck and life augment. I figure if I'm getting hit while shooting I need to switch to melée anyway.

But yeah, one shot is better than 12 no matter how fast you swing it. In the time it takes to swing the crosshairs to the next target your flintlock is reloaded. I will admit when I'm wrong and in this matter, I stand corrected.

So I guess I can't join the club...

Re: Red Dragon Club

The Luck Charm and Devestation augs on the Red Dragon give it a full boost without being elemental, which some enemies can be resistant to. Only really big, and few enemies have these kind of resistances. Like the swamp troll, the only troll resistant to elements.

Saying the RD isn't outdated until Knothole 2 is kinda funny because you can go after both pistol types at the same time. And since the 4 Aug weapons are clearly better... the only point is to get a fast range weapon. I love getting a red dragon and diachi at the beginning of a game.... Bewitching, 2 Devestations, Lucky Charm. Those two weapons blaze a player through the game.

Why is it that you can't join the club? Sounds like you have a Red Dragon. I'm not going to deny you membership simply because you prefer another weapon over it. The most I require is that you don't call it "bad".

=p

Which is why I like the red dragon, it's got decent augments, it's the fastest gun and it's not too shabby of a weapon. As for the elements : they substantially boost the damage. (by this I mean that they were the differnce between two head shots on a commandant and one). Furthermore, usually if an enemies resistant to one they aren't resistant to both and even if they were the infrequency of such encounters doesn't impede elemental usefulness.

I was unsure of master weapons appearing after you complete knothole 2. I don't remember if I saw them so for all I know it could be easier to get RD through the spire then switch to mfp after your return. /shrug I'll just cheat and trade my pimped out weapons to my new characters.

I know, but you clearly didn't understand and Melandor clearly proved that I was right. In the first post it clearly states that this club is for those who have obtained the Red Dragon. No where did it say he wanted people to come here and ask for a handout. There's nothing really wrong with saying what I did, nor did I say it with malicious or hateful intent. You're putting tone in my voice that doesn't belong.

Destro23;407471 said:

I do, but those with no common sense or the ability to read the first post and understand what it's about isn't going to get a fuzzy comment from me.

Oh. I see. I'm wrong for doing what Melandor did but only because it was meaner? Many other people I know on this forum would have said the same or worse even. I don't deserve to be chastised by you unless you are a town guard or admin or the one who started the thread. You did not know how I was saying what I said, you have no place to say anything to me.

I was never hateful toward anyone and that comment wasn't even bad or mean. I don't understand how I was in the wrong.

Sorry, I'm trolling again...-_-

Re: Red Dragon Club

You can one hit kill most enemies with the first pistol you get in the game, all you do is aim at the head. Which is why speed is more important than power. Unless of course you use an blunderbuss where its all about the power.

Nope, it doesn't work like that. I've aimed at the heads of my enemies with my Strongest pistol/crossbow/rifle and etc. and for some enemies you need to shoot the head more than once. The head isn't and auto kill zone...

Re: Red Dragon Club

Well, I'll go get the Red Dragon from the shooting range now. I'll submit a review after I get and use it, but I am rather found of my 4 A.M. Flintlock.

I like to do little experiments with the economy. Knothole Island's economy is like some kind of sinkhole. It always drops to 1 star when you leave the island. Your actions on the island still have an effect on the econ when you are there. If you have high rent prices, its harder to get master class weapons. If you have low rent prices you still have to buy items to stimulate the shop's economy. There is a bed in the weapons shop, keep sleeping for 7 days with low rent and you will see every kind of weapon from 1 aug to 2 aug. i have sat at this shop and bought every item with 1,2,3 and 4 aug slots.

Another Tip: You can sell all your legendary weapons here and they will stay here. Legendary weapons don't disappear from town shops and do have a high dollar value. This is how I fund 2 master weapons and 8 expensive augments. This is why I still win the Red Dragon, so I can sell it. The same reason I get the legendary item set.

The red dragon definitely isn't a waste of time.
