ressurection phials yes or no???

hello laides and gentlmen


i was thinking about fable and fable 2 and i was thinking should ressurection phials be in the game or shud there be a new form of ressurection or like in oblivion, no ressurection as that would make it a more intense game.

thoughts?

I would still like them to be in there just not as many as there were in original Fable as it was kind of a joke how many you could get. There are ways of making the game harder without making you start over again from another point by dying. However having so many of them you never die through the whole game kind took some intensity and tension from the game as you knew if you died you could just revive. It all depends on which audience they want to appeal to the most, the casual gamer (have lots of resurrection phials), the Hardcore gamer (have none), or settle on the middle ground (they exist but are rare).

I think when Peter M. said he was going to have a different system of "Death", he meant something else than that. Maybe, it was better than having to reload :lol:

Not that I've ever died in Fable, but having 9 Extra Lives so easily attainable is a stupid system. I'd rather have it "You died - you reload" system.

Hells, actually getting the "Game Over"-screen due to death is qutie a feat. :lol:

How about this for dying:

Your knockedout, and your heart is starting to slow down, you have only a couple seconds to drink that health potion. Maybe if you pray for Avo, whenyou die you will be blessed by the gods and ressurected at a chapel. There are manyother ways, besides "Game over-Go back to your saves and try again". There should also be tips saying,"Since you died from this monster, doing this or drinking this can really benefit your combat or health"

True, there were definately too many phials in Fable. At least there was a limit at nine, but they should be as rare as Elixars in Fable 2

i like them but there was way to much i mean i barely even used one unless i was careless they should be rather hard to find and not buyable

Well... I want them, and I don't want them too rare simply because it's annoying if you get knocked way back to the beginning of the level because when you rolled you rolled into another guy's sword or something stupid. Maybe they could have, I don't know, about one per quest? For every quest, there's one phial hidden away somewhere in the world?

Or is that too easy? Perhaps limit you to carrying 3-5 at a time?

But hey! I take offense at that! Several fences! You can die simply by being unlucky. I can't remember when I did it, but I know I did. I think I might have actually done it in Lychfield or Bargate-- I tried to kill all the Undead and just eventually ran out. Though, of course, that's more death by stupidity or lack of common sense than death by bad luck.

I still like the idea of resurrection phials. I mean I don't exactly want to die so they save you the trouble, but I do agree that the number of them was a bit overboard in the original Fable.
