Restarting Assassin's Creed?

Alright, so once you beat Assassin's Creed, you can't really do to much besides explore the area where you are kept "prisoner" and redo old Assassination memories, but you can't redo old intermissions with Vidic and Lucy. Now, I kind of want to restart my game and do all that stuff again, maybe even pick up a few achievements on the way. Well, the Conversationalist one, at least. But I want to know if you lose all your flags and such. Pretty sure you do, and I don't think you can create a new game that doesn't overwrite your current one. Well, maybe if you had a memory. But mainly, you lose everything don't you? Yes, I googled first and all I could find is other forums with the same question but absolutely retarded answers such as false endings to the game and information that isn't even relevant. So could anyone tell me what you lose? I'm guessing everything, as restarting in most games involves that.

Any help on this decision? I could just ignore all flags until and read a guide. Thanks in advance.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

Ahh Well I restarded assasins creed and that overwrited my original save which I also lost all the flags. I recomend getting the flags before restarting.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

If you already have the achievements you can't lose 'em

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

Nothing is better than purposely going to all of the lookout points and accidently missing one but not realizing until you can no longer go back... :'(

But yes, everything overwrites itself.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

Damn it. Why can't there be more than one save?

Becuase they hate us.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

If you want to get the flags achievement then go for it before you restart, but Id definitely restart the game. I regret selling Assassins Creed, it was fun and my kind of thing.

I'm just surprised Daemon hasn't posted yet :P

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

yes you loose everything. I did it so I could get every flag using a guide, and keep trak of what flags I already had. I eventually got them all and the templars, but its painfully boring. The only one I have left to get is conversationalist, and I had to restart again for it. I made an attempt at it, but its really boring a thrid time around.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

I restarted today for the same reason TJ. I'm not finding a total of like, what? 400 flags without a guide. SCREW THAT. And I need the Conversationalist. I've talked to her in every cutscene so far.

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

use a guide, there are a few things you might miss if your not VERY careful. I played through 3 times talking to her after every cutscene and I still never got it. Turns out there are other things like, you must take the pen from Vidic, and possibly read all the emails on the computers.

Here is a great guide for the flags, it has a checklist that uses cookies to keep track of every flag you get. Hover the mouse above a flag location and a picture of the flag will pop up. it also has all the templars, their the green dots. http://www.assassinscreed-maps.com/Maps.htm

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

That is the EXACT site I've been using. Such a help. I have about 1/3 of the flags in Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus. Haven't touched a King Richard's flag you though. And I've just ran past all the Templar Knights. Gonna get 'em at the end. :)

Re: Restarting Assassin's Creed?

So far I just keep talking to Lucy until she tells me to go to sleep or ask if I'm tired. And I never thought of a video guide. I just used that site because you can highlight a dot with you mouse to find the location of the flag in a picture. It has worked really well. The problem is that the cities are a bit big. Ah, oh well. At least I'll eventually get all 1000G. :P
