For some reason I don't like this.

I could see this being useful for themed playthroughs but I'm the type of person who likes to do a wide variety of things. I'll want every chest so does that mean I'll have no followers? Kinda makes me feel like all the quests and hard work won't really be worth it.

And if you didn't spend the followers you'd be rubbish at everything else. I'm skerred Pmoly, Skerred!

So, two choices, either save followers and get a limited amount of new features or go slowly through the game and get them all? is that right.

Wait, you don't spend followers, they stay there, you spend Guld Seals, that are given to you for having followers.

Kinda like if renown gave you EXP in Fable I and II

I was going to say F it, but then I saw Tyrants recent post.Its ok I guess,it gives us something to work for so its fine in my book.And I SAW THERESA!!11ONE But no srsly she is there and I like that.

Uh, that was comfrimed with a picture about a month or two ago with her at the gates of road to rule.

I think that what he means is if you don't want fable to be able holding hands or kissing, it doesn't have to be. What he is trying to do is not force people to use features if they dont, but the true fable fans will get all the features, therfore spend more time with the game. From what I heard from peter is that you spend the followers.

I heard the words 'spend followers'. If its guild seals then thats totally fine by me.

As for getting certain chests and forgoing others. Didn't they mention that some skills (ie hugging kissing etc.) are required to get certain quests that potentially every villager could offer you a quest?

Its just fragments of different vids I think but thats what I was to understand.

If thats the case then wouldn't you WANT to open everything?

I'd really be bummed out if its 'spending followers'. How can you make that make sense? You learned how to fight better with your sword, x amount of followers left you.

You now have the ability to buy property lower rent and increase the economy, and your followers don't think thats cool so they bounced?

100% Sure you spend Guild Seals, although I'm sure it'll be an evil choice to handle like that an innocent circus animal...

To me this feature balances the game, and you are the one to choose. If you want to get to the end you can quickly, or you can take your time and unlock everything. It puts the choice in your hands.

You use Guild Seals to open chests.

By rushing through the game, you get limited stuff, but taking your time and actually PLAYING the game unlocks them all?

Yes. that question was asked in the interview, and PM said that you spend follwers in order to unlock chests and advance through the gates. So unlocking more gameplay would make the game slower to progress through but you could net more followers faster since more gameplay is unlocked.

Ok, I think I get it.

Maybe I should've watched the video before replying. :/

As long as I can open EVERY chest, then I will be fine. I would sure as Hell hate to only unlock 50%of the game each playthrough. As long as we get every chest open-able, I am superbly fine.

As long as you have enough seals, you can open any chest you can access...and you can return to the Road To Rule at any time to go back and open more as you gain the seals required. It just means you might have to go do more quests, fights, interactions to get enough seals.
What Peter meant was that if you race through the story, you will probably only have enough seals to open 1 big chest per section, and even then he is just giving that as an example.

Well at first I was like "Wut?" then I was like "Madface" then I was like "wtfface" then I got some ice cream then I was like "thatssohomosexualitsalmostheterosexual...face" then I read tyrants post and was like "oh". Thanks for clearing that up Tyrant.

I would give you some rep but I don't know how.
