Albion is what England was called before Rome conquered it.
It was actually called Albion at the time of the Romans, too, was it not?

Albion was the name bestowed upon the most favoured son of Posaidon who coveted the Land of the Engles. Albion is mainland britain, england, and many of us reffer to our country as Albion still. Albion, in this context, is the Fable universe equivilent of Britain, that much is undenyable.
What in the hell are you talking about, man? Were you trying to say "Poseidon?" If so, I know of no relevant myth. "Albion," as I remember, came from a Celtic predecessor language and passed through Latin and Greek. It was used, by different people contemporaneous with Brittaniae or whatever.
Yes, Albion is a poetic name for England, mostly. Yes, Fable-Albion is a British analog. You can tell from the funny accents they've all got going on there*.
No, I don't think it's particularly relevant. No, I have no interest in going to a Rome-analog, because Italy/Rome at the time analogous to Fable's tech level was a fractured mess of independent nations. Large portions of it may still have been ruled by Spain. Boring ****, beyond possibilty for nasty little wars and intrigue. Which flavor of Rome did you expect? Imperial Rome? The Pope's stomping gronds? What?
Though, I would love to see the dessert assassin someone mentioned. Scratch that, I would love to BE the dessert assassin. I could murder a slice of apple pie right about now.
*Considering the occupants of this thread, I feel the need to specify that this was a sarcastic joke, an understatement of the obvious, and a deliberate jibe at my Brit-fellow-forumgoers, all meant in the best of good-humored intentions.
