Router Question

So I just need to know if, say, I factory reset my router to change the admin password, could I access the settings from any computer connected through an ethernet cable to the router?

I couldn't find any answers on google, but that is probably just my fault for not searching well enough.

Pretty sure you can, i access my router through my laptop which is wireless, and via my desktop computer so. You should be able to do so.

Yeah, it worked. It is just that my dad doesn't like me messing with the router. He changed the admin login from the default and I could only view the settings, not change them. Got it working now. Fixed my Xbox disconnection problem, but not my NAT setting problem. But hey, at least I can access setting and change them for future use.

And I heard you say the WPA2 is more secure than WEP? If so, I changed it to WPA2 when I was messing around.

I feel ya brother. My ol' pa is a router nazi too. Luckily he isn't smart enough to use anything else than "firstnamelastname" as password.

:lol: I used to be able access all my family members accounts on my old computer. My dad's was the name of his new truck, my mom's was the name of her new cat, which had her favourite cat's name, and my brother's was the name of his ripoff Jackass group.

You think you would make you passwords a bit more secure.
