Running Fable: TLC on PC

I wonder if anyone could help me please ?
I bought Fable: TLC on PC about 2 years ago specifically for Modding; though of course I would have also liked to have played the Game too;
I installed the Game to my hard Drive; but when I came to play it; after leaving my Father to go and collect Gold Coins; the Game would just Freeze; the Only way I could get my Laptop back from this Freeze was to unplug it and take the Battery out of the back; I had to do this 3 times; and eventually Destroyed my hard Drive which cost £700 to be replaced by Sony Vaio; I don't want this to happen again; and I would like to play the Game; and also attempt to Mod it; and have today followed these steps;

Which lists the Minimum requirements to play TLC on PC; and find that my PC fulfills All the requirements; these are my Specifications;
Windows XP Home Edition
1.6 GHz Processor
Microsoft DirextX 9.0
512MB of RAM
30GB of available hard disc space
I can't find the Speed of my CD Rom; but imagine it must be above 32x
64MB Radeon 9200 including Pixel and Vertex Shading

However; I Fear Installing TLC again if it is going to Freeze and Destroy my Hard Drive; if anyone has any Advice for me I would be Very Grateful

Make sure you meet the requirements. Close everything but fable when you run it. Lower the quality of your graphics in-game.

Basically tweak it a bit so it will meet the quality of your computer.

This could be your problem:
Radeon 9200

When you play the game, it runs slowly and sometimes stops responding. To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video card drivers from the following ATI Web site:

Thank You Both for your Advice and Support +rep;
I also feel that the Problem I have is this Radeon 9200; so I went here;

To Update the Driver; as the Product is Discontinued by ATI; and having given my Details; such as;
1: Windows XP Home Edition
2: Radeon
3: 9200
I was taken to the page to Download Catalyst 6.1 Display Driver;
Everything was going excellently; but following the Install Wizard a box came up saying;
INF error Video Driver not found;
Then the following error having clicked OK on the above error box;
Try to setup your Display Adapter with a standard VGA Driver before running Set Up;
I went to Control Panel and System; then clicked Properties on my Radeon 9200; but it wants a CD or me to tell it where to go to find the Update Driver on my PC; not the Internet; and I am afraid that is the extent of my Knowledge ;
Any further help would be Greatly Appreciated;
