he disappeared! i did the quest treasure island of doom, got all 10 treasures now its telling me to return to salty jack in bloodstone. as i recall he is usually inside the pub, around the pub or at the dock with the ship master.

Like me, you fast traveled back to town instead of running back to the ship... No problem tho, just pull up Bloodstone in the Regions and fast travel to The Sinkhole... He'll be right there waitin' for ya! +rep

Then you're wasting time. I get enough to get a few essential skills way OP, and then move on... As you progress in the game you get better weapons to sell on your Oakfield-Bowerstone-Fairfax weapon selling runs that you can make much more on per trip. Just get enough to buy your potions to get OP, and move on, because everything just gets better (including the potions you're buying to skill up...

I also like to buy enough shops/homes to be gettin about 6k / min, but that doesn't take long either...

Check the whole docks leave region and go back. I found him at the docks but he wasn't there neither so i left region came back and yup there he was

I think this has already been said, but just to reiterate, go to The Waterfront in Bloodstone, then walk to Captain Dread's cave as you did at the start of the quest. At the entrance, Salty Jack will be waiting for you. Hope this helps.
