Well i went to college and finished at 16-17 and more or less did the same thing. Just played games a lot and drank a lot of alcohol with freinds who also didnt work around my house most of the week and generally did nothing worthwhile for about 9 months after College.

Re: Saving Electricity

Wow wow wow....wait a second. You finished college at the age of 17?

Re: Saving Electricity

My brother is 18, and he's finishing high school this year...I guess Canada and England is way different in education...

Re: Saving Electricity

I leave everything on at all times...
though I pay rent, $500 a month, it includes electricity so I can't be bothered with paying attention to how much I use...
and you're lucky if you can live there rent free until 20-24...
I got kicked out when I turned 16...

Yeah you have to study much longer than we do, we leave school at 16 and can then go to College and higher education or get a full time job.

Re: Saving Electricity

I used to shut off my computer all the time. Because it's missing more than half it's ram. It's at 246MB which is the WEIRDEST number. It should be 500-something. But it got burned out. And ever since the button to shut it off/turn it on in the front stopped working, I haven't wanted to shut it down for fear it will never start up again.

The one I'm using right now. Never shuts off. But the monitor shuts off after 15 minutes

Re: Saving Electricity

We shut off everything at the plug when finished - no wastage for us

And £20 per week? Wish my parents had been that nice - I had to pay about £250 a month once I left school and went to college...I had about three jobs to cover it plus full time study...at least that is something I will never have to worry about ever again...

Oh sorry about that >.< I suffer from short term memory loss lol . Uhm, why would they kick you out at 16? where did you go?

Re: Saving Electricity

I shut off the monitor only. I might just change that.
I lived at home for a while about a year after high school. Moved into a place for $300/m. I'm paying a bit more than that now.
