Saw VII Announced

Title: Saw VII
Release Date: October 2010

Movie-Moron said:
Saw 7’s release date remains set for Halloween 2010. It’ll be directed by the man behind Saw 5, David Hackl, and shot in 3-D. “A lot of people just do the 2-D to 3-D transfer, but we want to be able to build the sets in a way that takes advantage of depth,” says Hackl. “We’re going to design traps to come at you. The pendulum trap that opened the last Saw movie would have been great in 3-D. …We’re planning a lot of the movie to be through the victim’s eyes, seeing stuff as it’s coming towards them, in their point-of-view.”

How many Saw films will there eventually be? “The storyline that we started in Saw 5 and carry through Saw 6, ends at Saw 8,” say the current writing duo. “Where it goes beyond that, I couldn’t tell you. In my mind, the story is threaded through Saw 8. After that, I can’t tell you that the franchise will continue.” Unless box office results bounce back next year, don’t be surprised if they really do end it at Saw 8.

So, their'll be 8 Saw movies at least with the 7th being in 3D.

Have they gone a little overboard, maybe?

Re: Saw VII Announced

Well... Not just yet.

I enjoyed Saw and Saw II. Saw III seemed like the breaking point for me. After that I thought "they've ruined it."

Saw VI was... Ok, I suppose. Very predictable though.

I knew Mark (The corrupt cop) would be in the 6th envelope.
I knew that William would die in the end.

Re: Saw VII Announced

Saw VII? Didn't Jigsaw die in like ****ing Saw III? This is turning into Halo, just won't end after it loses it's touch..

Re: Saw VII Announced

^ Well, he's been involved in flashbacks that took place during the events of previous films... that weren't actually in the film.

Re: Saw VII Announced

Still... it's.... eh.

The only series I would ever watch again if it returned would probably be Star Wars, haha, if they made a 7 8 or 9 I'd so watch that or if they make a Hobbit movie for the Lord of the Rings movie series I'd watch that and maybe POTC. I know, kinda kiddie movies but I grew up with that stuff and they were all major hits. Saw is.... just kinda the same thing, do whatever he says to survive even though you all ****ing die in the end.

I've now lost all faith in humanity. I'm going to go kill myself. Would anyone care to join me?

Im in

Its sad the first 3 or 4 movies were good but eventually his freaky plans become over used and expected. If they have this much free time they need to make a real horror film, maybe even possibly find a way to revive vampires back to there true pedistal rather then there new glowing one from twilight.

Actually, Saw had a very good storyline for the first three or four films.

I will be seeing it... Obviously seeing it in the cinema will be hard but It's something I have to see. I enjoy Saw but the story is starting to lack.

Re: Saw VII Announced

no. just, no.
it's already bad enough with final destination doing the same thing.
let movies rest in peace, since milking a series mocks the idea that cinematography is an actual art form :(
