Yup, pretty much what deathless said, go to Murgo in Bowerstone, down by the docks and purchase a potion- use it and voila, same dog, new skin. You can also revert your dog back to normal using the "Mutt Potion."

the new dog breeds look like crap, the dalmation looks like its starving, the blood hound just looks like an older, normal dog and the husky (if your good/pure) is just all white.... so... blah

It's all down to perception. I haven't seen them though so I can't really comment. I haven't actually seen a Murgo shop though. Do you need the DLC?
