Setting up a PayPal account

I'm trying to set up an account but I'm confused about what to do here.

I'm trying to "confirm my bank" so that I can confirm my debit card, so that I can add funds to paypal.

I'm most confused about the 2 deposit boxes. Why are there 2? What's supposed to go into each one?

I think you need to look at your bank statement, or check your recent transactions. And the exact two amounts placed into your account by paypal you need to enter into those two boxes. It's a way of confirming your identity.

e.g
£1.00
£2.00
was placed into your account by paypal.
You then enter those amounts into the boxes.

Queenofdisco is onto the right thing for that step. Paypal will deposit a small amount of 2 transactions into your account to confirm its your account. You just have to check your statement and when they go in just type in the 2 amounts on the Set Up Bank Funding page. Its probably going to be something like 27p and 32p or something random.

I can be of assistance here, I just need all identification numbers, your bank account number, your date of birth, and the username and password you use for online banking. I'll get this PayPal thing all sorted out for you.

How long ago did you set it up and did you give them the ok to make the deposit? Also check all your account details are correct.

I'm sure all my account details are correct, and I set it up yesterday at about 3pm.

I'm not sure if I've given them the okay to make the deposit, could you tell me how to check? Thanks

It can take 3-5 days for the deposit to go in. Id wait for that time to pass and then if it hasnt gone in by then i shall advise you further (remember they wont have done anything on a weekend also).
