I would've asked alot more, but didn't want to be a nuisance :P

Thanks Steve.

Brilliant, and that comment of the last 1/3 of the game really got my attention!

I think a childhood sequence showing Logan bullying your character or maybe showing other childhood warning signs could've been cool.

On the topic at hand, whenever I think about Fable III, I sort of imagine a video in my head with me as the main character, fighting at the begining as a nobody, then I become a king with servants (ideal tyrant enviroment), helping me make decisions bla bla bla. The interview really helps improve that little video in my head and helps my imagination fabricate a more complex, graphic, intense vision with better enviromental details. I know that sounds crazy but whenever I watch a trailer online, interviews, development videos etc and go to bed, everything sort of automatically adjusts properly to create this story in my head representing what I know about the game so far and thats when i get to experience it on an imaginative or theoretical level. So thanks again for the detailed interview ^_^.

On another note, if you dont mind me addressing something else while im here. The sites are gonna be booming with information about Fable III ratings, magazines, youtube videos etc while im gonna be waiting for the game to release 2 weeks after everyone started playing it in the western countries (America/Europe). I really believe someone should fix the problem with the shipping to the Middle East...the delay on every game for 2 weeks or so is really irritating (and no the plane wont be shot down on its way to the airport so dont use that as an excuse) Sorry if the second paragraph does not relate to anyone here but I just want to create an awareness to the depravity that is being practiced in the market where I live (drama). I could probably go on and on about this but im going to save you guys the trouble of having to read it here.:'(

nice interview. i only have to wait until tuesday here. I just can't wait for the game.

Very cool interview, some good nuggets and mysteries too. I can't wait.

As always froggy you rock!
Thanks for all your superb work on keeping us updated with fable III news over the last few months^_^

"Ted: Wow, lots of questions in one! So to start with what I think is the first
question in regards to Fable II changing a lot and the story of it. With Fable II we
did radically change a lot, and perhaps we didn't have enough resources available at
the time to make the Fable II story as compelling to some as the Fable I story.
What's important to remember is that the Fable I story was in development for over 6
years! That's a long time!"

Yep, and it only took 4 years to completely destroy most of what made Fable 1 special with Fable 2. They destroy the Guild, get rid of almost all Heroes and destroy Oakvale. The feeling of belonging to something important was awesome and one of the main things 2 lacked. I did enjoy the story the first time I played it.....In Knights Of The Old Republic 2. Seriously, compare the 2. The Jedi Academy destroyed - Heroes Guild destroyed. The Jedi Hunted and killed - The Heroes hunted and killed. A blind old lady guiding you in both games who also gives you a chance to know the future at the end of Knights 2 and See The Future. Combine this with a completely unnecessary 500 year jump into the future that gave nothing more than pistols and rifles and you've left with an irreparably damaged story that has lost all of the magic of the original. I wouldn't be surprised if magic was the next thing they destroyed.
I only rant because Fable is my favorite franchise by far and it saddens me to see it handled so carelessly.

It's a 50 years time gap, not 500. Not all Heroes were dead in Fable II.

Ripper was probably a Hero, as he could use Assassin's Rush. Zachary 'The Silver Tongued Mage' was a Hero. Shows that Heroes are just scattered, not gone.

They can't keep it the same, they need to move on. Times a' changin'. If you don't like it, keep playing Fable/TLC.
Theresa wasn't just some 'blind old lady' she was your ancestor, and the HoO's sister. That's a connection to the past right there, and she's back in Fable III too.

I think they've done well to carry on the Fable franchise in the way they have, and I enjoyed Fable II.

Fable to Fable 2 was 500 years. I know who Teresa is I was just pointing how how similar they games were.
They didn't need to change anything. They had only made 1 game in the franchise and it's considered superior by most. They didn't just change it, they completely obliterated most of what made Fable special.
I didn't say all heroes were dead, I said they got rid of almost all heroes. The Hero Of Oakvale was barely mentioned at all in Fable 2. You go to Oakvale in See The Future and they don't even have a statue of the most important person in the towns history.

Most people I've seen talk about the game mention how 1 just "felt" better than 2. If you look at these things and compare you see the reasons why.

Wow, great questions and clever answers (not revealing too much) I can't wait until Fable 3 comes out on Friday (I'm from UK), unfortunately it's a Christmas present for me so I wont be knowing much about it until then :( Hope everyone enjoys it!

If you'd rather Lionhead made the same game over and over and only changed it slightly with each new release, then you're looking at the wrong company. go to Bungie. They've been re-doing Halo 1 for a while now.

It's pretty ridiculous when Bungie takes better care of the storyline of a FPS than Lionhead does for their RPG series. I at no point said I wanted the same Fable as TLC. The fact remains that TLC is the high point of the Fable franchise and nothing proves this point better than the buggy mess that is Fable 3. Take out Theresa and Bowerstone and you have a game that could pass as a weak Fable knockoff.
I for one can't wait to start fighting Hollow men Nazis in Fable 4 as Lionhead continues to destroy a once incredible story.
