Skorm - he speaks!

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Hmm...random sidetrack: What is the difference between the buff Merc and the skinny Merc? Wouldn't the bigger more musuclar Merc be better as his side would indicate more points spent in the whole Strenght area?

.....

Things like this is what keeps me up at nights...

I haven't noticed a difference between the two but then I don't use them to fight with me, so maybe someone who does could tell you.......and if that's what keeps you up at night then you need to get a hobby or something...:lol:

I'm confused... The 2 huge and buff mercs are stronger than the 2 skinny weeds.

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Skorm says: "You think I will be threatened by a weapon? Heretic!", and Avo says : "Put that weapon away, this is a holy place, show some respect!", as i recall

Got any proof? As far as I've seen, there is no difference between them, but I've not really taken the time to compare them before now.

You'd think that perhaps the smaller Mercs were quicker....

have you noticed how the HUGE good merc has like a high pitched voice and the small good one has a deep manly man voice...wonder if it means somthin...

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Well, the huge ones cost more per hour, and they also survive better.

I did the trader rescue quest with the oakvale merc and the twinblades camp merc.

The oakvale merc died...

Haha, really? I haven't really noticed - the buff good merc is the most bothersome to get. The other Mercs are each at a teleportable location for easy retrival, while you can teleport directly to the temple of Avo...though now I just "have" to go hire that guy! :lol:

Now that is most interesting! Have you tried it multiple times to exclude some freak accident? (i.e the enemy blocking, getting combo hits on the mercs...)

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

No, because since then I have grown strong lol.

I will try it out tonight!

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Hehe, please do. I had a...little accident..with modding, so I have to re-install Fable, so I am not really in a position to test it out myself.

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Yeah lol, happened to me as well (Well probably not exactly, but a similar problem)

I only reinstalled it on teusday.

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Something about removing something via Fable Explorer that shouldn't have been removed. Just a minor detail, obivously. :whistle:

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

The weaker ones die more quickly and have less health
Here's the code behind them obviously the designers decided that good should be weaker than evil

Bowerstone South
DefinitionType "CREATURE_BODY_GUARD_WEAK";
ScriptName BodyGuard;
ScriptData "_EVIL1";
Health 45.0;
Oakvale
DefinitionType "CREATURE_BODY_GUARD_GOOD_WEAK";
ScriptName BodyGuard;
ScriptData "_GOOD1";
Health 40.0;
Twinblades Camp
DefinitionType "CREATURE_BODY_GUARD";
ScriptName BodyGuard;
ScriptData "_EVIL2";
Health 65.0;
Avo's Temple
DefinitionType "CREATURE_BODY_GUARD_GOOD";
ScriptName BodyGuard;
ScriptData "_GOOD2";
Health 60.0;

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

Hah! Score one for the bad guys! Have some rep for that, it's on the house.

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

What but that doesn't make sense unless the one at Avo's has more attack power or something, why else would you have to pay more?

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

I should test this out...

He has to be stronger - He's black! :(

... what does being black have to do with anything...? O.o

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

It was a joke. Don't take things so literally.

... there isn't exactly a figurative way to take what you said... I'm guessing what you meant to say was "seriously"... and in text based formats it's hard to know what's serious and what's a joke, which is why we have smilies... and you used this smile ->:( and not this one ->:lol:, hence my confusion... no harm done
