Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

Is it just me or is the snowglobe village in see the future, oakvale...? I mean it looks like wraithmarsh except its not a ghost town. And wraithmarsh was oakvale....

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

It is meant to be Oakvale. I am pretty sure it even tells you that in the quest.

It isn't just you.

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

Yeah, It also reminded me very much of the old oakvale..

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

Because it is said it was Oakvale.... That is probably the reason.

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

In the snowglobe village...? or wraithmarsh? cuz i've seen those signs in wraithmarsh. I haven't loked closely into the snowglobe village though.

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

He means the snowglobe village. Definite answer is that the snowglobe is oakvale. Search the fable wiki and it will tell you that it is oakvale just before the shadow court destroy it.

Yeah, it was really cool seeing Oakvale alive again, however limited.

Actually, Azrael, I was pretty sure that the snowglobe had something to do with how the town was destroyed in the first place. Did you notice that the bright, primary-colored enemies you were fighting were called "shadows?" I was thinking of it as a "trapped in a colorless snowglobe world" kinda thing.

wraithmarsh/snow globe village BOTH ARE OAKVALE

"Holding a disturbing secret, the small model village inside it was once a real town in Albion." -http://www.lionhead.com/fable2/seethefuture.aspx

it took 500 years for oakvale to become wraithmarsh.

500 years? Huh. I always thought it took one night of Reaver being a death-fearing coward. Though that wouldn't explain the flooding and all. Just everyone dying. And, of course, we're never told WHEN, exactly, Reaver made his deal.

when youre running wayig with him in 'reaver rear passage' he says some thing along the lines of:
"i havend been down here in years... oh wait i was down here when (enter his wifes name here) tryed to burn the house down to the ground, and that was 200 years ago"

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

No that was when he was sleeping with multiple people and the woman who burned down his house was not his wife. He made the deal a century earlier or something.

No point in arguing about it. He is very old, yes. But you can't really tell how much of the damage done to Oakvale is the Shadow Court and how much was simple time and abandonment.

Re: Snowglobe Village = Oakvale...?

when you beat the blue man group, I mean the colour shadows and you are transported to under the tree in the town, when the villagers are cheering you the guy at the front says "now we can rest in peace" I always thought it was supposed to be that you finally allowed the inhabitants of Oakvale to pass into the great beyond by stopping their souls from being tormented any longer.

(Or I could have drunk too much when I completed that quest!)
