so...anyone want seasons?

i just thought of this....i LOVED the snow in the first quests in F2 then i played until the char was an adult then i was like "aww come on...."any who i would love to see seasons change as i play the game not just goto a place that has the weather im looking for (I.E knothole island, westcliff(rain))

so how would you like to see this **** happen!??

(sorry i love acting overly excited)

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

Yea, I guess having seasons would be cool. It's not exactly at the top of my list for things I want in Fable 3, though.

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

knothole island had alot of seasons although they did go over the edge with them ^^

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

The developers have been doing an awesome job so far and I think they will continue to do so. I've decided that I like being surprised when It comes to the Fable games...

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

I would love to have changing seasons. It adds a little on to the whole "your world" deal, you know?

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

It'd be pretty cool, but I wouldn't consider it a new feature, seing as how it was supposed to be in Fable II.

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

That would be awesome, and even better if you gain control of them through magic once you meet certain requirements.

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

Yeah would be cool, the seasons did change in fable 2 just at diff points in the story, and when you finneshd it they stopped changin, would be awsome if they always changed :P

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

Yeah seasons are cool.

Certain quests can only be done in a specific season and whatnot.

Sounds good.

Exactly what I was thinking. Lol.

And yea the idea of changing seasons brings many possibilities. Like say during certain seasons only certain types of monsters come out. And certain types of clothing are sold and the people dress differently. But then the problem is, how are seasons gonna change?
Like how long will the intervals be? Fable time changes not based on real time. And would this seasonal change be universal?

Since Aurora has been added into the Fable universe, maybe that can act as a kind of 'holiday resort'. Meaning, It's always sunny there.

Say one second is one minute in Fable.

So... 8765 minutes in real life would be one year in Fable. Which is stupid.

They'll figure something out.

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

Here is my pros and cons, just in my opinon of course.

Pros

Like other people said, different monsters, quests, people with different clothing, different items sold and such.

Acts more realistic than with just a set natural season for each place.

Cons

Some people might not like how Summer or Winter, or something looks like and get very annoyed.

People will mainly get annoyed by how they want a quest but they have to wait like a day or two for the change of seasons.

So really, unless the games really badass and would entertain anybody, I dislike the idea.

Waiting a while is part of the challenge. Thats what its meant for. Ever play animal crossing? You have to play at different times of the year to get different stuff. Its the same concept. Its meant to be a bit of an ass to you but you get the other benefits and other options in the process.

Seasons, cool, but restricting certain quests to different parts in the year? No. I want my game to be fun not something that requires me to whip out my calendar and carefully consult to determine whether it is an appropriate time. (Honestly, I thought this was leading up to a "rhythm method" joke, but then I realized I wasn't sure how to pull it off.)

And yeah, I did feel a bit cheated with F2, claiming that they'd have seasons and then just giving us a change of scenery at a few predetermined times. It felt too... regimented.

Knothole Island helped a little, but still, I would have preferred a more subtle, integrated treatment of the weather.

And that is why Animal Crossing is a terrible game.

Thats kindof impossible no game can appeal to everyone

Re: so...anyone want seasons?

Sounds like it would be pretty cool if they could pull it off smoothly. I'd prefer to see this feature left out if it's going to cause problems and glitches, but I agree that it's a great idea.
