Having the ability to get a job and chop wood and stuff is making the game for me lol... guess I'm easily amused :)

Not only that, it's "INNOVATIVE"!

Yup, very innovative how the same piece of wood keeps appearing after every chop lol:lol:

They really should have kept the pub games from the first fable as the worst part about fable 2 is the ****ty pub games.

I also heard in an interview of them saying it would cost 10million to buy everything I seriously lol'd because I have bought everything in the game with only about 2.5 million. Molyneaux promised a lot of content that wasnt included in the game. Sadly I am disappointed I wasted 60 bucks on this game so I guess I'll trade it in and get Left 4 Dead :D

This is a pretty easy one. What transformations? Like I said before, the different character transformations are halo, blue veins and blue veins with red skin and horns. Not only that, your character barely changes at all. There's no armor, and very few interesting pieces of clothing.

Things to do. Skills, armor, weapons, things to collect. Fable 2 didn't have to be the typical RPG, but why no armor? :realmad: And very few weapons or different weapons. I recall what's his name saying "hundreds and hundreds of weapons" in an interview.. well, where the hell are those?

I didn't say the game was horrible. I enjoyed the storyline and what little else I could do after. But thank god I rented it, because $59.99 for a good movie on my 360 is kind of expensive. If the main story is your best reason for flaming people when they say this game wasn't that great, you might want to think of something else =].

Well for me it's more like, if the main story is the only reason to flame the game you might want to think of something else. But you did in your post and I hear you so please just chill. I don't know about hundreds and hundreds of weapons. Point given although it's nothing to me. Armor was said well before release to not be included and a reason was given so I never cared about that. Just chill, I know you didn't say the game was horrible and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad for you that you rented it and I'm glad for me that I bought it. ;)

You're gonna keep hitting me for saying it's innovative but I guess we just disagree, simple as that. The world around you does change though, depending on how you play, and I'd like to hear another game cited with the transformational depth of Fable 2- can you cite me one? You said "that's an easy one" but didn't cite me anything, just knocked on the game some more. Can you even cite me a game with as little transformational value as you just described? Really I'm not picking at you, I want to know. If you can cite one I'd like to play it. Don't say Mass Effect though. Please don't.

p.s. I do love Mass Effect :) great game, not picking on it

edit: things to collect...what about the 50 gargoyles, did you do that? all silver keys and chests? all five hundred legendary weapons? (lol joking) And on one last note man please people, nobody said that chopping wood was innovative, I obviously disagree with oh..the two or three people who don't find the game to be innovative or wonderful but you don't have to play with my words THAT BADLY, just disagree that the game's innovative and chill. :) All I'm trying to do is reach a conclusion an agreement for disagreement on a simple issue and chill.

Re: So this kind of bothers me (about perceptions about the game)

I suppose what's REALLY bothering me is the sort of ridiculously one sided view of RPGs we have now. You want to see a short RPG? I truly short RPG? Play the first Fallout. If you know exactly where the two final quests are and have juuuuust the right skills, you can beat them in about twelve or thirteen minutes. ANd then that's it. The game is over. Done. Finished.

The levelling up, getting better armor, etc....That doesn't automatically make an RPG. It doesn't mean your a moron for liking that, it just means this isn't you're type of RPG. I wouldn't like it as much if I spent all my time trying to grind to level 99 and farming enemies for very specific armor. That's fine, but I grew bored of it years ago. Not every RPG needs to be like that, or like Final Fantasy, or even like the seemingly godlike KOTOR and Mass Effect games. And I LOVE KOTOR and Mass Effect. But you know what I loved about them? It certainly wasn't "doing the right RPG things, like gaining armor and levelling up to 99". It was the dialogue. The more or less living-ish world (no video game is going to have a totally realistic one). If I could have talked my way through conflicts in the game I absolutely would have.

Anyway, once again, this game is not for everyone. I'd just like it if people would stop making assumptions on both sides...But I should learn not to hope for that anymore with any game. All games seem to be remembered as incredibly crappy if you look around hard enough :-P I'll say nothing else, unless something important comes up.

Re: So this kind of bothers me (about perceptions about the game)

Sorry, wasn't trying to be an ass, the wood chopping is awesome, and I'm very amused by it, especially cuz I can take 5 min and make 5000-10000 gold :) Just having some fun, wasn't trying to pick any fights. I love this game :D I haven't been playing COD4 and its been ****ing off some of my friends lol

Re: So this kind of bothers me (about perceptions about the game)

lol chumypickle it's all good, I thought your post was funny, just wasn't sure how serious you were :D
It's my favorite job too 'cause you do rake the money in faster than heck. Glad you like the game...COD4's a fun one too, best shooter I've seen in a long while!
Hey Orpheus I liked that post, +rep for breaking the monotony of this thread. Also thebigugly I want to re emphasize that I wanna stop this pointless debate, I've tried to a couple of times but maybe not hard enough. So please just give me that game title and I'll stop posting to you, sound good? I wouldn't even press for that 'cept I've asked you several times and gotten no answer, only trash talk about Fable and fun poked at me for stating my opinion on the games creativity. I'm actually guessing you'll be able to cite one though, after thinking about it...probably an MMORPG or something. I don't know anything about those, WOW, etc.

Care to smoke a blunt? *sparks, will pass once we're chill* :)
--actually I'm still budless :(
