So, what's the best?

Just wondering, what's the best way to go in youre opinion? I want to start a new Fable and I'm siddering of what's it going to be.
With ''way to go'' i mean

• Fully skilled melee
• Fully skilled mage
• Fully skilled archer

Well, I'd like to get some reactions ^_^

spell warrior, or which hunter.

a combonation...but melee is the most efective.

In my resent games I've really liked using the bow. I pull back the string as soon as I get into an area and target the first enemy let it fly. It then goes right to the next victim
btw I'm playing the PC.

I need to play a game as a wizard to get a better appreciation for that part of the game.

I've played an archer, and it was pretty cool. With multi shot (or something like that) en Skorm Bow I blowed the enemies away! It was good, but I don't know if bow is the best, and I want the best now so that's why I ask it here

The Best IMHO is to get the PS first, save up for the obsidian long sword and have enough strength to use

So the experience spending would be
PS level 1
Strength to level 3

After that keep powering up the PS health and toughness

I'm a master of all trades, but mainly a spell warrior(even though the game changed my guy to will user. Grrr....).

I completely agree with Albion Knight. Heh. I have basically 3 accounts, one which is my favorite, and is pure evil, he is based basically on melee but has a few spells such as summon and slow-time

But recently I mad a new one that uses a bow I LOVE IT. sneak attacks to shoot peoples heads off are fun...

But I also need to make a mage to appreciate will...

Aren't you better if you just focus on 1 thing? I mean.. it looks kind of stupid to me when you have so much choice.. It's like; A minnion! what shall i do? Erhm.. I could use this spell.. or this one... or maybe I just slay him down with my sword.. my bow could do well too.. BLAST! I'm dead :'(

You dont stand there pondering about it you just blast something then slash it and then hit it with arrow as it flees :devil:

Bah, magic + sword + bow = many different kinds of combos.

Berserk + multihit + sword
Multi-Arrow + bow + slow time
Flourish with sword + Enflame as they go down + force push to knock them away
Force Push + ground stab (when people are knocked unconscious onto the ground)
Force push +Slow time + divine fury/infernal wrath
Battle charge + force push + enflame

There are tons more, I'm sure people could add more.

I was going to say it would be detrimental not to use any one of the three ways to attack, but some people like to play one specific role. So I will just say that the game is much easier if you have a variety of abilities at your disposal.

I think that 1 spell at level 3 is better than a bunch of spells at level 1

How about this for a plan, choose something that you like and works for you. Wander around Greatwood until you've perfected it. Then branch out and try new things
You'll probably find that a combo like those that Devalion posted (+rep for those btw) to work the best

Yes...especially since even if you're a totally beefed-up melee fighter by the time you first fight Jack, that will ultimately mean nothing when ol' Jacky boy decides to go airborne and start launching his magic attacks on you. Without some leveling up in Skill or Will powers you're in for a world of hurt.

I change my methods depending on what I want to level up. Since I maxed out all my skill and strength options, I sold my ranged weapons and relied solely on Will powers - I just want to get everything. I personally like using lightning level 4 at the moment coz their heads shoot off into the air and they just collapse with smoke rising out of their necks...:devil:

Nah - can't max out Summon, Heal Life or Physical Shield coz I'm totally evil - but I went as far as it would allow and I'm busy maxing out all my others. I like my glowing hands...they're pretty...

I got full speed, health, physique, toughness, guile and accuracy and I'm working my way through all the possible spells to master - only got 4 left to do now! *excited flail*
