Well the Halo already exists in Fable2, I have it, cos Im such a goodie 2 shoes.

I wouldn't mind wings... air combat like Aion Online is offering. Might screw the game up though, so I really am not holding any strong opinions about this.

Maybe people, y'know , like wings? Maybe their popular? Because god forbid a game would be made which had parts that capitalized on what's popular or in the current trend in favor of appeasing the minority.

Besides wings are symbolic for a lot of people. In a game based on choices that affect your morality and alignment wings would be rather fitting given the often spiritual meaning behind them. They represent freedom, and Fable is a game based on pretty much living a life free of confines and making choices. I wouldn't agree with an evil character having wings, but a pure character sure, why not. Angels are often represented in murals with wings, so if your choices lead you on an angelic path then it would be apt imho.

Deathless, why do they need to be functional? If your evil you get horns but you can't run around impaling people.

its dumb, my guy ive tryed to make look like van helsing (now with the witch spotter hat it looks awesome) would look so retarded with giant wings comeing out of his back and the whole "...what's popular or in the current trend in favor of appeasing the minority...." thats cus fable IS NOT a main stream RPG wings are dumb if you want wings on your character go play a JRPG

if there was a will spell that gives u temp wings or somethin kinda like the one in fable one that made u huge that would be awesome but i think for there to be wings they need to be worked into the story. i.e. in my opinion there needs to be a reason why the character has wings. im not tryin to hate on ppl im just sayin in my opinion i dont want wings unless i can use em


and on a side note what does the J in JRPG stand for? is it just an action rpg

Yeah and I am sure a Van Helsing with a halo round his head looks perfectly true to said character. Long and short of it is, if there was wings, they would be gifted to your character if he reached a certain amount of good, nobody would be forcing you to maintain that standard and therefore you could continue to customize your character as you saw fit without needing wings and without alienating those who wanted wings in the first place. If I didn't want a halo on my current character all I need to do is slaughter a villager or two, or ten. The customization is what makes this game great, you can tweak your characters appearance in so many ways, so why not wings? Just because you don't like them, because you think their all JRPG?

And I beg to differ about Fable being mainstream, its very mainstream nowadays, just because it doesn't conform to certain standard rpg elements doesn't make it any less of an rpg at its core. Considering its probably sold more copies than you have eaten food proves it popularity and therefore makes it mainstream. FYI- giving something wings does not make it a JRPG. Paladins in World of Warcraft get wings when they summon a spell, is that JRPG? Nope.

Deathless, J stands for Japanese to my knowledge. The reason why your character would have wings is because, as is the case with the halo, it is representative of being pure and good. Angelic, saintly etc etc. It would be something that would come with alignment, not a standard feature of every character.

the J in JRPG is for japanese, but yes i dont want wings if i cant use them/get rid of them any time i want
