Solus Greatsword or Sword of Aeons/Avo's Tear?

Solus Greatsword or Sword of Aeons/Avo's Tear?

I've been playing TLC for a while, and I still can't decide whether I like the Sword of Aeons and Avo's Tear better or whether I like the Solus Greatsword better.

The Sword of Aeons and Avo's tear are the most powerful light weapons in the game, and they have health, mana, and experience augmentations. I love health, but I only find mana useful when I'm using a lot of Will. I don't find experience particularly helpful either because by the time I get one of these swords, I'm almost maxed out on my stats. This is most likely because I go through the game using only one or two Hero disciplines, though, and I suppose I did find it useful on games where I've used all three.

The Solus Greatsword, on the other hand, may be a heavy weapon, but it does 84 more damage than the Sword of Aeons and Avo's Tear. It also has a health augmentation, which to me is the most important one out of the three that the Sword of Aeons and Avo's Tear have. It has fire as well, which does extra damage to enemies weak against fire. I usually don't notice the effects of the flame augmentation, though.

I'm expecting most people to side with the Sword of Aeons and Avo's Tear, but what do you guys think?

NOTE: We're not talking about the Sword of Aeons from the original Fable, only the one from TLC.

It often depends on what I was doing if I'm training I might use avvo or aeons for the exp but really I use sulus to defeat boss and really I think the sulus DMg makes up for it being heavy

Once you get to that level, the extra damage really doesn't matter. Personally, I like Avo's Tear better for the looks and the good points.

Seriously? You think Avo's Tear looks cooler than the Sword of Aeons? It's fat, white, and boring (kind of like Daniel Johnston), and the part that separates it in the middle doesn't even go in a straight line. It looks weird. The Sword of Aeons, on the other hand, is sleek, slender, sharp, has an interesting hilt, and has colors that go well together. It looks much nicer.

Yeah, but I'm not up for killing my sister to get it. That's just the kind of guy I am.

Besides, it looks way better than the Solus Greatsword

Meh, it's pretty easy for me since I've grown to hate her after playing Fable 2. Not to mention...it's just a game.

I don't think so. The Solus Greatsword might look a little strange because of its blade, but I don't mind it. Its colors are nice, and I like how the serpents come off of the hilt and wrap around a small portion of the blade. The Sword of Aeons looks cooler, though.

Screw all three of them. The nicest weapon in-game is the Greatsword you find in the Northen Wastes.

You know, it's common to think the Solus Greatsword is 'better' because it has higher damage. But, when I fought JoB as a dragon, when I used Avo's Tear I was hitting high 700's. Also, Sword of Aeons/Avo's Tear looks waaay cooler than Solus Greatsword.

I would go with the Sword of Aeons, but not with the textures of Avo's Tear. I'll go for the Solus Greatsword.

My choice would be to scrap them all and use the Thrasher Greatsword made by morerunes.

I Think you should go with Avo's Tear/Sword of Aeons, the reason for this is i think that lighter weapons work better because of the fact that they swing faster and block faster, besides i never notice the difference i 3 shot minions with those 2 and 3 shot minions with Solus great sword.

I'd go with the Sword of Aeons/Avo's Tear, the Solus Greatsword is alright but it's a waste of Gold when the Sword of Aeons/Avo's Tear is perfectly good for getting through the rest of TLC. One question though, Why did they reduce the amount of damage the Sword of Aeons does in TLC? In the original it did 550, in TLC it only does 230! I know that's still a lot but it's a huge step back from 550.

I know theres supposed to be just aeon and avo involved in this thread, but heres the strongest weapon in the game its the bereaver but u need a sharpening augementation

It kindve depends on what kind of character you are. If your playing a rich person then the solus greatsword is good because of the expense but if you playing a good character whos poor(maybe given away money) then avos tear is by far the best choice
