Star Trek Into Darkness

Definitely looking forward to it as well, enjoyed the first one.

There's really nothing wrong with the new movies, excellent by its own merits. It may not be like the good oldies, but then.. it doesn't try to be either. So, whatever.

I havent seen the last one but they look like decent movies in their own right, plus I like Benedict Cumberbatch and be interesting to see his performance. I shall get around to watching the other soon & will probably end up watching this soon after its release too.

Ooh I did not know this!

Will watch for definite. I've never been a Star Trek purist so I'll watch it in whatever form it appears on my screen.

Very interested to see their plans, the first Remake/Reimagining was good, not classic, but good. Didn't much like young Spock though. Needed more green animal women.

Firis, the nice Orion lady wants to tell you to bite her.

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm still annoyed by the Incredible Toddler Captain and his Amazing Infant Crew. If they were rebooting, why not make Spock captain-- he's apparently old enough, given that he's a commander. Spock is one grade short of a captain's pay. Kirk was more like six short, and no one else on the ship was any better.

McCoy would probably be booted right up to LTJG (or plain lieutenant,) but Kirk-- he of the nonexistent experience, fresh out of the academy after years of drunk wastrelness-- would be a flat ensign. Nothing more. I'd've found him less annoying that way, too.

Also, I hate the reboot because Chief O'Brian and Captain Sisko were my favorite characters, and I will never see them again. Actually, I liked Odo, too. I just realized that all my favorite characters (Except Geordi) were on DS9. Huh.
