Now this game looks very interesting. It's a Star Wars cover based third person shooter where we'll be playing as a bounty hunter trying to uncover some sort of criminal conspiracy under the surface of Coruscant. It seems to be taking a shift from the main Star Wars universe to some more small time events, and it's going for a more mature and slightly darker feel. Other than that, we don't really know much about this game, but it's extremely intriguing. I can't wait to find out more, and I'm itching for an official trailer.

I wish they'd stop churning out Star Wars garbage for quick cash.

I'll wait to hear more.

Though, I'm not really of the opinion that Star Wars games are just churned out nonstop. I mean yeah, they come out often, but it's always by a different developer. All the stories I've heard have been companies WANTING to make a Star Wars game and seeking out Lucas to get approved.

The only reason Lucasarts is stamped on there is because they own all the creative rights. I mean, it's just the setting of the game, really. Not too redundant. It's like having a modern warfare FPS, RTS, or RPG.
The Star Wars games themselves have been over a vast spectrum of genres. Even flight simulators. The biggest challenge for them will be to make something that's been as explored as thoroughly as the Star Wars universe feel fresh and different. Coruscant has been in just about every Star Wars game as well as the movies. I wonder how much they can squeeze in without contradicting past games. They can't release the game unless it gets approved by Lucas, and all he really looks at is
a) does the concept belong in Star Wars and
b) will it conflict with what's been done before.

Though it does look a bit like Uncharted/Mass Effect so people will probably eat that **** right up.

Hopefully it follows Republic Commando and KoTOR rather than the cash in titles and doesnt simply include shoehorned moments from the movies to keep those fans happy. The setting sounds interesting as does the whole premise of the title so im interested.

More mature and darker you say?

Time to get me some Twi'lek hookers!
