I'll wait to hear more.
Though, I'm not really of the opinion that Star Wars games are just churned out nonstop. I mean yeah, they come out often, but it's always by a different developer. All the stories I've heard have been companies WANTING to make a Star Wars game and seeking out Lucas to get approved.
The only reason Lucasarts is stamped on there is because they own all the creative rights. I mean, it's just the setting of the game, really. Not too redundant. It's like having a modern warfare FPS, RTS, or RPG.
The Star Wars games themselves have been over a vast spectrum of genres. Even flight simulators. The biggest challenge for them will be to make something that's been as explored as thoroughly as the Star Wars universe feel fresh and different. Coruscant has been in just about every Star Wars game as well as the movies. I wonder how much they can squeeze in without contradicting past games. They can't release the game unless it gets approved by Lucas, and all he really looks at is
a) does the concept belong in Star Wars and
b) will it conflict with what's been done before.
Though it does look a bit like Uncharted/Mass Effect so people will probably eat that **** right up.
