Bethesda have been working on a brand new next generation single-player game in a new epic franchise named Starfield. “Our first wholly original franchise in 25 years,” says Todd Howard. The studio has been working away on it for years and it has been a rumoured IP for a long time so its good to hear that its true.

Yeah, really not a surprise. Cyberpunk 2077 has definitely served as a cautionary tale for developers. And with that game in mind, I’d prefer a finished game to the alternative.

Scott needs to get his butt on here and do some info dumping. Dude is like a sponge for upcoming game knowledge. Tis why I keep his ass around tbh. :sneaky:

A couple of points have recently been revealed about Starfield and they are as follows:

  • Story will be 30-40 hours long.
  • 4 Main Cities
  • New Atlantis is biggest city Bethesda has ever created
  • Ship Combat
  • 100 Star systems
  • Over 1000 planets
  • Most planets are procedurally generated, the ones that are designed by hand will be clearly signposted
  • More handcrafted content than any previous Bethesda title
  • No seamless planetary landings
  • Over 200,000 lines of dialogue
  • Random quests
  • Game Pass Day 1

I see a Solid state drive is also required to run Starfield would an external usb drive work? I don't have any slots open on my motherboard.

More and more games are going down this route, might have to purchase a larger SSD if you already have some and switch out the smaller capacity ones or switch out a regular HD for an SSD in the SATA slot. I am going to have to uninstall some games I think as my SSD's have a small capacity.

I found the slot it was under my GPU lol. I might get the newest windows and boot from there for now on.
