Static or Dynamic

Do you like static sharacters (Ones that are tough as nails apparently because very little of whats going on around them affects their original portrayal)

Or a Dynamic one (A very responcive character to everything, but is much harder to make and sometimes confusing for a reader)

Yeah. I prefer Static characters. Less annoying and jumpy.

A Static would be like CLoud Strife and Bella (From the gay-sparklepire series that lowered my love for vamp culture and raised my interest in zombies... Especially my addiction to Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty)

And Dynamic would be like Lirael (From the Lirael and Abhorsen books) or any character that is one way at the begging of the book, but is so aware of things happening that he becomes traumatised or at least different later in the book. I prefer static, except Bella... They are also MUCH easier to write and less jumpy.

I like static characters who are secretly dynamic, if you know what I mean.

I prefer dynamic characters who go through a dramatic metamorphosis through the story, Like Daniel in Karate kid, or Eragon. Maybe not the best examples, but you atleast understand what I mean!!! Oh wait, I have a Good one!! LUKE MUTHAFRACKEN SKYWALKER

Oh and this is off topic but does anyone know why E3 is SELECTING who is coming as if it were VIP, becase I cant find any sign ups and its been a life long erectile dream to be at E3.

Not all static characters are all cold-blooded badasses (like Alucard, who is, in my opinion, one of the best characters ever made). Think of a static character who is wimpy, no-good and annyong and doesn`t change at all no matter what happens. A good example is Bleach`s Orihime - she is annoying as hell with her neverending crybaby attitude, which would not change even if the world`s fate would depend on it.

static characters. bleach wouldn't be any fun if Ichigo suddenly stopped being so determined...i don't know what i would do!! >.<
it's the first anime i've found that can come close to filling the gap left by dbz (but an alternative fuel can only do so much )
