Subjective Question

Voted one of the best comedies of all time.. Placed 3rd I think. It's far better than anything Will Ferrell has ever done.

Because constant, blatant, unsophisticated sex jokes are how you make a comedy.

Well, one who's key demographic is Hobbe, anyway.

Agreed with Arse here, I like Will Ferrel.

Have you seen Stranger Than Fiction? Brilliant movie, although not a straight comedy. I loved The Other Guys as well.

Oh and Kung Pow was good too; so was Drag Me To Hell; and Braindead. Damn... this question can't be answered.

If you allow me to categorize Braindead as comedy, it gets my vote as well. Maybe not TEH best comedy I've ever seen (I doubt I could pick one) but its high on the list.

I had quite a lengthy discussion with my classmate about this (not that particular movie though). But yes, Braindead is a horror comedy, a genre some don't recognize. Movies like Drag Me To Hell, Braindead, Undead and Evil Dead fall into that category. I personally love the genre, but many consider it just to be a failure horror. I guess they don't realize the real goal of these movies.

It did come out in 1999.. I'm not saying it's the original teen comedy, but it's the best of it's kind mainly because there wasn't many back then. Not that I remember, that was a guess cause I was only 5. Nowadays, a sh*t teen comedy comes out every few months and they're all bad to be honest. I do like Step Brothers, but that's the only thing Will Ferrell has ever done that I like.

I agree. Teen comedy is a pretty shallow one. American Pie didn't accomplish anything in terms of comedy history but it did have a huge following and redefined what one could do with a warm apple pie. Speaking of shallow comedy, I nominate the first Harold and Kumar for best stoner comedy of all time.

Stranger than Fiction is one of my favorites but not as a comedy. I think of it more as a fantasy/drama but to each their own. Either way it is by far my favorite movie with Will Ferrell. Kind of like how Jim Carrey's best movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

That gene that allows for someone to appreciate horror comedy usually comes with the appreciation for b-horror. Those folks that don't understand the so-bad-it's-good humor are a strange bunch.
