Such an amazing game

Just been playing the Xbox Original Title that i downloaded on the 360, and my word its still an amazing game to this day. I just zoomed in on my character in his Chainmail armor and the game is just beautiful. On top of that the music is just out of this world and the game is just still extremely fun and relaxing to play.

I have been playing a TON of Fable 2 and i enjoy it properly just as much as i did Fable.. at least i thought i did. Playing Fable now, i don't know weather its the nostalgia or what but something has sparked inside me that just wants to say i enjoyed this game more.

So other then just boasting about the quality of Fable i may as well make a forum discussion. Did you prefer Fable over Fable 2? Lastly, what are some of the things that you think Fable 2 exceeded far over Fable that you wish Fable 1 had.

Fable TLC felt really orignal, but Fable 2 seemed samey...

I guess it was so it could seem more mainstream and appeal to a wider audience of gamers? Idk

I still don't see why Fable is still played as much. Two ftw.
I enjoyed some parts but I prefer Fable 2.

Fable TLC has a better story than number 2 and when you mod it the game becomes even more fun.

I bought Fable TLC for my PC; for Modding mainly; but I don't have the Pixel Shading necessary to run it apparently; so haven't played the Game;
However; I have 12 Seperate Gamesaves of the Original Fable on my XBOX; 6 of these being Modded ones; and with one of the Gamesaves totalling 300 Hours; I have to say that I Enjoyed the Original Fable much more than I have Fable 2; though I will Continue to play Fable 2 until I have Collected Everything Possible as a Good Hero; and then Maybe I will start an Evil Save; the Best part of Fable 2 for me was when my Hero was able to return to her Childhood (in the Secret Garden - now behind a Demon Door?); as it just took me right back to the Emotional Feelings I experienced in the Original Fable; and that was what the Original Fable was about for me; Emotion; and I feel that the Lionhead Team got the Emotional Connection within a Game spot on; something I have not experienced since in Any Game; I don't feel Emotionally Connected to my Hero in Fable 2; it is just like they have a Job to do; though I will be Eternally Grateful for Fable 2 of course; as I will be if the Fable Series Continues into Fable 3; as I can't get Enough of the Atmosphere of Albion;

It has to be fable 2 mostly for the relaxing atmosphere and funny quotes
for example i changed my name to "nobhead" to see peoples reactions i ran around bowerstone and some small boy came up to me a shouted "Alright Nobhead" I laughed for hours. This comic and beautiful world has me in awe plus i have all the achievements

I Personally Preferred Fable I then Fable II, I loved Fable II But Fable I was th first one and it was just AWESOME

Please explain to me how this works as I've never grasped the concept of feeling emotionally connected to a character in a game.

The emotional response that I got out of Fable, without going into the several stages of hell that goes into modding it, was the fun of decapitating people and kicking them while they were on the ground. So when someone talks about it like you do, I feel left out by not feeling anything remotely resembling such a thing.

Thank You for reading my Post and giving me an opportunity to explain further about the Emotion within the Original Fable;
If you will Grace me for a few moments with your time; I feel it Important that I Explain how I felt Emotionally before I played Fable;
My Mum was killed in a House Fire when I was 2 years old; and my Dad died of a Brain Tumour when I was 4 years old; my Sister and I were split up; and I found myself living with a Foster Mother who was Very Unkind;
She told me Every Day; between the ages of 6 and 17; that I was Nasty; that I should have Died instead of my Parents; that I was Worthless; a Nuisance; and that it was my Fault that my Parents had Died;
Hearing this for over 10 Years brought me to the Conclusion that she was Right; and that I was Everything Nasty and More ;
My Gaming before Fable consisted of GTA: San Andreas; and First Person Shooters; I just wanted to Destroy Bots; Property; Vehicles; basically anything in my sights was Dead; I had a lot of Fun doing this of course as that is what the Games were made for;
I didn't play Fable until 6 months after I bought it; as I had never played an RPG; and I thought it would just be a Rubbish Game;
However; to my Utter Suprise; which is a Massive Understatement; I found that because the NPC's seemed to have 'Lives'; they Spoke amongst themselves; and to me; seemed to have 'Feelings'; in the sense that my Wives 'Welcomed me Home'; commented on my Dress Code; gave me Presents; and that I was Albion's Protector; 'Hero'; I started to Feel something inside of me that was Unexpected; when I saw my Hero had a Halo with Butterflies; I was Astounded really; because I Truly Believed that I was Nothing more than a 'Monster' in my Real Life;
But; whilst playing Fable I realised that I was in Fact; Kind; Loving; Considerate; and had Compassion for others; ... the NPC's in Fable;
And; though I would rather not be Ridiculed; for me; it was a Life Changing Experience; and something I will Never Forget; that Fable; Lionhead; Peter Molyneux; gave this to me;
I have 300 XBOX Games; and about 30 360 Games; and though things have changed in Design and Production in recent years; I have still not felt Emotionally Attached to any Character or Game made since Fable;

I can understand where you are coming to a certain degree, my emotions toward the game are strong also, but in a different way. I get so much relief and pleasure out of the game. I can get lost in the game, playing and modding, to the point where I can ignore some of my pain and not feel as worried and depressed about my life. Fable has been a life saver for me.
I am sorry to hear how hard your childhood was for you and I am glad you have found something to help improve you self image. I hope you continue to go upward in your real life as well as your game life.

And on a brigther note, I have to say Fable I. When I play my 4 year old scratched-up original verizon it feels like I am still 10 years old... brings back memories...

I was thinking last night; as I Often do ; about the Differences between Fable; and Fable 2; and something I Enjoyed in the Original Fable; that is Missing from Fable 2; and I Hope will be included in Fable 3; is the Opportunity to follow your Wife (only being able to be Male in Fable); and see what she is up to during her day; as we were able to do this Incognito as it were; however in Fable 2 it is Unfortunate that as soon as we are not even particulary Near; our Spouses come running up to us with Gifts; another thing that I enjoyed Greatly; was to see my Spouse going to Bed; or sleeping in their Bed; this gave a sense of Comfort within the Game; another thing that is Unfortunately Missing from Fable 2; though it would have been a Lovely thing to be able to see my Husband/Wife and Children; Sleeping in their Beds during the early hours of the morning; rather than wandering the streets; especially as I have provided them with Luxurious Beds to sleep in

Fable TLC always wins for me. Still haven't modded it yet...what mods do you recommend?

Read "The Dog..." thread for my reasons on why TLC is the best. Please give me your opinions...why has no-one replied for that thread anyway? :'(
