Suppress Uprising

Today, I started a new game on TLC. I went to take the Wasp Menace quest, and those three other quests that show up along with it were there once again. I'm not sure why I didn't think of doing this before, but I used the +24 trainer to max out my renown to see if I could take these quests. The Snow Troll Attack and Minion Camp quests disappeared, but the Suppress Uprising quest remained, and I was able to take it. Sadly, it was in Knothole Glade, so I would have had to play through a good amount of the game first before I got to it, and I wasn't about to do all that in one sitting just to see what happened when I got there. Has anybody actually taken this quest and traveled to Knothole Glade? I'm curious as to what happens when you do. I don't imagine there is an actual quest that starts once you get there. I'm expecting one of two things: nothing happens or the game crashes. So has anybody tried it?

Re: Suppress Uprising

These quests don't work, they are just dummy quests in order to show up that moment of the game to give you a glimpse of what the road ahead holds for you.

Re: Suppress Uprising

I realize that, but what I'm saying is that I was able to take the one in Knothole Glade, and I was wondering if it activates anything once you arrive there after taking this quest that you're not actually supposed to take.

Re: Suppress Uprising

As I said above, these quests are dummy quests, nothing happens even if you get there then nothing will happen, the quest wont even trigger up I think.

Re: Suppress Uprising

I'm not sure you're understanding what I'm saying. I realize that an actual quest won't start. I know there's not any data in the game files that will make the chief come out and tell me to put down the protesters by force. I know all that. But taking the quest might cause something to happen once you arrive in Knothole Glade (probably just a simple game crash if anything). The developers probably wouldn't have tied up these loose ends because you're not supposed to be able to take this quest in the first place.

Re: Suppress Uprising

When you take the quest card it does not even show up in your quest inventory. I just tried this out, after Guild training I used the trainer to max renown, then took the quest card, then used a manual teleporter to go to KHG, nothing happens.

Re: Suppress Uprising

Well that's disappointing.
