On the other hand, if Scythe is the one who searches for a person who could change the fate of Albion, it sounds like the hero from the first Fable wasn`t the one. I just wouldn`t want the first hero to be completely forgotten, I mean, defeating Jack of Blades isn`t a small matter.
I guess The Fall of Heroes plays an important factor there, whether heroes are still hailed in Fable2...

What did Jack of Blades always call the Hero? Guild Puppet right?
Maybe Scythe did not choose the hero because he was so involved with the guild, he would not have defied or tried to change it no matter his alignment. The guild was his home.

For Scythe to revive the true Hero's Guild the Guild from Fable 1, which was more of a glorious mercenary training center, would have to be out of the picture.

IMO Scythe would not have been able to do that with the Hero, so the first hero was not the ultimate hero. What he did to rid Albion of jack was important but you can't do everything.

Anyone agree?

I agree, you have a good point there.
The first hero was a superb one, a powerful, talented man, who was basically the only one who could defeat Jack back then.
But that doesn`t mean, of course, that he was the one Scythe was looking for... I guess, I would be satisfied with that explanation.
I just wouldn`t like that the first hero is completely forgotten, since he did a great job defending Albion.

Exactly, i doubt he will be forgotton, but i doubt his story will be very obvious. Maybe a few references, maybe in the guild ruins and of course we know the gypsy children will be re enacting it.

Re: Tales of Albion

Idk if any1 noticed, but they changed what we thought was a typo - and it was:
But without an enemy to vanquish, the Archon's children grew petty and cruel. They called themselves Heroes and used their powers of Will to terrorize the people. A younger Archon might have stopped them, but his battle with the Queen and his time in the Void had infected his body and mind with a wasting illness. Faced with decay, William wrapped his body in golden mail and a royal blue cloak before vanishing.

Btw could it be that one of Magdelena's children was Lady Grey?
As for Magdelena, she went on to wed a series of husbands. Her children used their mother's connection with Nostro to establish hereditary power for themselves over Bowerstone
This is a bit far out, but maybe we'll meet another child of Magdelena in Fable 2? maybe another major or daughter of a major of Bowerstone?

First off, yes I noticed they fixed that. Second, I like the second part, makes sense to me. If there's a castle, which there is, called Lady Greys Castle, than one of them has to be there.:) Maybe it's Lady Grey herself. Wild speculation, but she threatoned to get even, and was friends of Jacks. In the book found in her old home off of Barrow Fields, in Tlc, it talks of Jack talking to her. Which probably lead her to kill her sister. She could have powers of her own? Another wild speculation I know. Kept waiting for her to pop up after that. It's really going to be fun to find out. +rep4u

Re: Tales of Albion

wait up guys im a bit confused... in the fragments of the old kingdom, where roughly did fable 1 and fable tlc take place? surely we havent encountered the events in fable 1 yet in the tales of albion, and i think that the fall of the heroes is going to involve the events that took place in fable 1.

Yes, he can`t be too well remembered, mainly because they can`t really tell if he was good or bad, did he kill his sister or not. That would ruin the whole concept of Fable.

These are some nice ideas. I thought about Lady Grey myself when I heard about Magdelena, just as SimonKalevra said.

Re: Tales of Albion

Magdelena, might be Lady Greys' offspring somehow. I just keep visualizing, Lady Grey waiting, to get even, in a dark room somewhere in the castle.
Anything could happen in a Fable game.
Thanks for the compliment TRA.:)

Re: Tales of Albion

man i got aroudn to installing this damn thing and i read all of it (so far) and all of your posts and now I feel like playing some fable!

Man So will is scythe?
man thats sweet scythe was badass.
Does that mean that the hero in fable tlc was a HERO just not....THEE hero?
I mean he did save the world right?

Re: Tales of Albion

Yeah the hero from fable saved the world from Jack of Blades, and from what i understand Will is Scythe.
But I guess the hero wasn't thee hero, and that kinda sucks. Cause I was good - and badas§.
sh!t I was so damn good that my enemies would go blind from pure awesomeness!!

And guess what? Now PM and Lionhead is making an even better game and at the same time telling me that I'm not THEE most awesome hero there ever was in the land of Albion!?!?
wtf! I killed Jack of Blades! TWICE!!!

Hurts doesnt it? Nothing some good ole Ale couldn't fix trust me:lol:

Re: Tales of Albion

Maybe we learn at the end of Fable 2 that there is no THE ONE hero. Scythe is going to search him/her for all eternity, the golden age of heroes will never return.

Yeah maybe, and if it does return, it'll fade away again
History will repeat itself

No, I refuse to believe that, cause I feel a Fable 3 game is very possible. Each game gets better and better.
I think each Hero we play, they are special, in their own ways. Not only that the next game is something new, is what we need. At least I do.:(
Maybe the very last game, we have the Ultimate Hero, that is thee Hero, who takes over for Scythe?

Re: Tales of Albion

In Fable 2 I will be the most awesome/attractive/loaded/sexiest Hero EVER!
I'll own everything, I'll be worshiped by everyone and I will learn all there is to know!

jack of Blades might be making a comeback? Bring it! Let me at him one last time!

Re: Tales of Albion

i believe through what i have read that sythe is Archon/Will Nostro was a bandit and Sythe is wearing the same thing Archon was when he died. they fixed the nostro wrapped his body error

Well, I think Scythe would never stop searching even if someone or something tells his quest is in vain. If we get the feeling that "all is lost" at the end of Fable 2, Fable 3 might start with "and when all hope seemed lost, a new hero merged bla bla bla..." (kinda lame, but works).
Plus, if the power and influence of heroes diminishes even more in Fable 2, then Fable 3 would be even more exciting.
My last post was confusing, I didn`t want to say that there is no future Fable, just that things aren`t going to be better in Albion... yet.
