Re: Teachers strike

Woo Hoo... oh wait... its 6 years too late... :(

Re: Teachers strike

.....theres no justice for students in america.....

Re: Teachers strike

They almost did the same thing in Estonia... ALMOST!

Re: Teachers strike

Teachers over here don't get the respect they deserve whatsoever. They get meager pay to teach a room full of brats, idiots, and douchebags then have to go home to a crappy apartment and try to feed a family of four on 30,000 dollars a year. Makes me sick.

So true. As much as I hated my former teachers and was sure they were out to get me - in the end when I look back at it they did teach me a lot of things.

Re: Teachers strike

I've never had a teacher I hated. With the exception of my Freshman math teacher. She was so dumb, there were kids in that class smarter than her.

(BTW there is another porn bot in the Fable 2 forum)

Re: Teachers strike

Porn bot sorted ;)

Back on topic - yeah, my kid's got Thursday off and whilst I get the whole "we need more money" thing (my best friend is a teacher) I'm annoyed because my kid is already WAAAAAY behind in school, has exams coming up soon and this really isn't going to help...

Isn't she like 8 or something O.o? Or are there other kids I do not know about:ninja:?

But yeah, teachers go on strike all the time over here. It was way worse under Howard though with all his IR laws.... What a *******... KRudd FTW!

She's 6 and they think it's a great idea to test them with SAT's...like she doesn't already think she's stupid as it is...

No other kids that I'm aware of...I hope...:O

On the other hand, these tests is (might be) a good way of detecting trouble with some children's schooling while they're still young. In my previous school we had people who were 14 years old and barely could read, why? Because they had no pressure on them to learn anything because noone would test them!

The tests has its upsides and downsides, but I think the upsides weights more...

Re: Teachers strike

Primary school should be for getting basic skills down and fun. Should stop testing them and let them have some fun! High school is for cracking down.

And there are plenty of people in my school who can hardly read, even at year 11. Even the simplest of words. When they read out things in class it's like watching a train crash, only it's funny.

Re: Teachers strike

Though the situation of teachers in Estonia has gotten better over the years because of constant pressure on the government, teachers still should get more money for what they do.
They have far less control over the stundents than before. It`s hard to deal with "bad" kids these days, and we know it and take full advantage of it. Not me tough, I`m good... ...

lighten up,
if teachers whent on strike at my school id be able to tell this joke at school(if i whent to school):
there was a girl called shagerarder, one day the post man came and said to her:"ill give you £15 to take off yor clothes" so she did and then he said to her:"ill give you a £5 to lie on the table"she did, shagerarder's mother called to her"shag...er...arder".:D

Re: Teachers strike

teachers here get v little respect, and thats in part due to them having no powers! they need parental permission for afterschool detension, cannot so much as touch the student without getting threatened w/ a lawsuit (by the kid) and more often than t=not, the parent sides w/ their god awful kid!

ps, its only the NUTs that are striking, so you may still have 2 go 2 school...

If you went to school, maybe you would have a measure of intelligence and would take something like this seriously. That joke sucked **** too.

(Just give me the darn infraction, I don't care.)
