tech pc help

ok delete this post if you want but i really need help or advice before spending money. My PC (not this one) has a weird problem where i turn it on, the acer screen comes up, i get the message saying the computer was shut down incorectly, i choose any of the settings, If i choose start windows normaly or last good config it gets just to the end of the windows loading screen before flashing a blue screen telling me to uninstall recent hardware to try fix the problem (this is only there for halve a second) then reboots. if i try either of the safe modes it runs throught the things untill it gets to the BOOT MENU or something like that and reboots . yes quiet a long post but i really need to know if there is anything I can do. please help!!! I am limited to internet so sorry if i dont reply to a post.

Re: tech pc help

First thing I would check is if you can see the Hard drive in the BIOS. There will be a function key you need to press during boot usually F2 or F8 but sometimes F10 or F12

Re: tech pc help

unfortunatly it is. ill point out now that i dont have a boot disk either. will i just have to get a mechanic?

Re: tech pc help

yay thread not closed. i cant get that virtual boot cd for a few reasons like this isnt my conputer and it dosn't have a burner and it has a restriction on downloads. (it's from my work). :D really makin this hard aint i. just be straight, i do need to go to a computer repair shop dont i.

Re: tech pc help

Do you have any friends who would be willing to DL the CD have them burn you a copy of it Ask for 5 bucks or something 5 bucks is a lot cheeper then the money you would pay to go to the PC repair shop..

it said something about uninstalling hard ware right?

if the boot disk doesn't work try Fiddling with the IDE cable or Sata depening on your set up make sure all your connections are solid in your PC then try to Boot up..

I've had a many of problems with PC's and it just being a loose wire or something a little bit out of wack.

But your best bet is to get a Friend to Dl it for you and burn. ^_^

I hope this helped

Re: tech pc help

Thx, you have been a great help and I appreciate your time spent. The boot disk didn’t work, so I pulled it apart with a mate who knows where everything goes and somehow a few of the wires had snapped. Hmm…

+rep for helping so far, AK. Wish I could be of service but sadly my computer experience and knowledge doesn't stretch all that far... ^_^
