hal's rifle is not weak.
if u hold the Y button on an enemy or villager then keep pressing Y it actually fires like the assault rifle from halo 1 and 3 and it kills enemies in 2-6 shots.
i've read alot of threads, posts and forums on fable 2 and i've noticed that more than half the ppl on the forums look on the bad sides of fable 2.
look on the bright sides for once.

LMAO

We are just saying that is a weak weapon in comparison to others.

I still use it because it's kick ass though. You gotta face the facts and accept it's an average weapon.

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

Just got 220 in shooting range. i hit 19 1's the rest were headshots.

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

didn't u read the part where i said it can kill enemies with 2-6 shots(depending on the type of enemie)by holding Y then keep pressing it?
cus everytime i use it like that my enemies crumble to hal's rifle.

WOWIE

Did you read the part were it says it's attack is only in the 70's while others are in the high 80's & 90's

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

well maybe they just put it there so that ppl wudn't use cus of how awseome it is.

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

when it comes to legendary ranged weaponry there all pretty much equal, red dragon has its high rate of fire, hals rifle is a auto firing blunderbuss, the enforcer has sheer power, the rammer is balanced and the preforator has its balance and range
there i summed it all up

So Lionhead wanted to make a weapon that they didn't want people to use?

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

Weapon: Master Katana with Devastation, Lucky Charm (I think) and Ghoul.
Clothes: Assassin outfit.
Spell: Level 1-Time Control and the rest Shock.
Potion: Health and Rez Phials.

well the game says the best ranged weapon is the preforator, i disagree im all for one with the red dragon becuase when you go to manual targating its like an uzi, doesnt stop to reload and its about 6 shots per 2.5 seconds, it can be found at the westcliff shooting range after getting 175 pionts hint: get headshots they give you 3 pionts
6 shots per 2.5 seconds? I can get 6 shots off in less than a second...

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

oh ive found that the best potions to carry are EXP potions, levals you up alot =D

If you do a little math (preferably with correct numbers), Hal's Rifle has the best DPS, by far, of any ranged weapon not only because of it's damage but because of it's clip size and reload time. It's weaknesses are the fact that it fires like a Blunderbuss, and that it only has 1 augment slot.

The problem with only having 1 augment is self-explanatory, especially now with 4-slotted weapons. The problem with it being a Blunderbuss is that despite its incredibly high DPS, the single shot damage is only slightly better then an Iron Blunderbuss. This means 1-shot kills to the head are almost non-existent at any range. Unlike with the Red Dragon (which has the second highest DPS and a lower damage per shot), you will spend a longer time killing enemies simply because you must shoot them twice or more to kill them. The Red Dragon can consistently get 1-shot kills with head shots, despite it's lower damage, against almost any enemy.

The Red Dragon can consistently get 1-shot kills with head shots
good piont but you have to go into sub targeting mode which adds an extra second or two...

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

no.they added the weapon in the DLC so that ppl who know wat the weapon is and looks like can get it by trade.
(i know i didn't understand wat i said either)

Re: The Best Weapons/Clothings/Potions etc.

i just had a brianstorm! =D best thing to do when your just starting a new game is to make a family so that your decision at the end is more.....complicated
