The Future Of The Elder Scrolls Series.

As being a big Elder Scrolls fanboy, I found a video here that has NPC's in Oblivion have a discussion over other provinces.

What do you think?

I'm thinking the next game might lean twards Skyrim or Summerset Isle.

Figured what out? There's no one answer, no significant province.

There are few possibilities which could end up meaning nothing.

They could mean Elder Scrolls 5, Or they could be just dialogue.

All Possibilities,
Nothing to figure out.

Plus this issues have never been mentioned 4 years ago and Vivec wasn't gone and summerset isle wasn't dangerous.

just the fact that they talk about other provinces and how that could be another game story line

It's a sad thing, but I have my hopes of about seeing 4 more games, based on the last 4 regions... and knowing Bethesda it will take a long time, since they started oblivion around the same time they finished morrowind.

They were mentioned a long time ago. Bethesda has already said that they have no current plans for another Elder Scrolls game (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/15/elder-scrolls-v-not-in-the-works-theres-a-chance-for-elder-s/), as they're working on Fallout 4, not New Vegas (New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian, not Bethesda.)

However, Bethesda trademarked the name 'Skyrim' in 2007, so many people think it'll be set there, whenever they do decide to make the next one.

There was a big debate about 3 years ago whether the next game will be set in either Skyrim or Summerset Isle.

EDIT: Has anyone read the new Infernal City book? Apparently it has a reference or something to the next ES game....

Re: The Future Of The Elder Scrolls Series.

I'm pretty sure Bethesda mentioned an ES5. Hopefully, It'll come out before the release of the new xbox because I wont be buying it straight away.

I think they should make an Elder Scrolls based on every province of Tamriel. Sure, it would be a huge game but the way technology is going at the moment, future consoles will be advanced enough to handle it.

I hope project natal wont be involved in it, because I wont be swinging my arms in my room to level up my hand-to-hand skill. >_>

Ohhh! Microsoft got served!

I really hope they do fix a lot of the bugs/glitches in the new ES. Oblivion was full of minor ones even after the updates.

Yeah like the infinite gold and the duplicate one with scrolls [I never knew about it and I did it on accident]

It's just those minor bugs can overall ruin the game for the person, because it's not fun when you have like 100 whatever ubar weapon they have, and a bunch of powerful potions.

Yeah. Like I talked to a beggar and asked him about the Gray Fox and he said "The Gray Fox is an excellent man. Don't listen to the Imperial Guard." then I asked him about The Thieves Guild and he said "The Thieves Guild is just a myth."
