Id agree actually, i dont think theres any such thing as to violent when your talking about video games and them being aimed at an adult audience. Only thing that makes them bad is when racism, prejudice and stereotyping is done on purpose to create controversy in my opinion and i hate the fact that people are toning violence down in games now thanks to the ESRB and BBFC. If they are to violent for people then they shouldnt buy them, just like they wouldnt watch a movie that was to gory etc for them.

seriously, i mean, i know your not in the U.S Andy, but the UK is pretty similar. firstly, without the right to free speech, video games would suck. if you delve into the backrounds and the storyline, you could find a zillion things offensive about ANYthing. also, the ESRB was made specifically so that games COULD be intensely violent, and to offer sugestions on who should be able to play this game. of course we all know halo is like the most popular game to ignore the rating of. EVERYone does, but its not that violent actually, and the gameplay/ storyline is pretty deep, if you ask me, so the intense violence may hide a sensitive plot or hidden motive to making the game, i hope you see what im getting at

All got a point.... shows the horrors of the real world....

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

yeah like in a game if you hit a guy with a hammer whats supposed to happen
you smash his face in, blood everywhere
OR
he turns around with a friendly smile and kindly asked to you desist doing that

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

lmfao!

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

well in a game you chase the bad guy who has killed your wife or whatever, what are you going to do tell him off? NAUGHTY YOU DON'T KILL PEOPLES WIVES ,OK? ...ok...alright don't kill her again (he might be a necromancer ;) )
NO you would kill the guy

I agree and voiced my opinion on the UK ban of Manhunt 2 and i think it was a crazy decision to ban it. After all its just a game, if people want to kill people and say they did it because of them playing games on manhunt thats a load of bull. They have to have the intentions and thoughts in their head already and shouldnt be playing games if they trigger the idea to act out thoughts already in their head. Its them thats the problem not overly violent games.

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

hit the nail on the head there andy ;)

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

What the hell? Sorry, but what does GTA tell us? Are games like that even supposed to have a message?

Though, manhunt was a pretty awesome game.

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

to each there own some people cant handle violent vidiogames like gta and manhunt
but banning it isnt fair to the people who can handle them.

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

i mean, look at dead rising, (my friend got it for his b day and we played some) thats prolly what they should complain about, i mean not cause of wats up front, but behind the scenes, so to speak, since our military is taking innocent lives to get to these zombies, yet even as i re-decorated the lawn with my lawn mower, i felt bad cause, before all that, those ppl had lives, but the hell with it cause they were fake ppl in the first place, thats what i dont get about games, you still feel sympathy

Dead Rising is meant to be funny and have a comedy edge to so if a game like that can appeal to people to feel sympathy in some ways then games that try to will succeed no doubt.
