The only game that I agree to go too far

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

I don't believe in banning games like manhunt and GTA, because some people really enjoy them, and it's pretty ignorant to ban a game that's for adult players.

BUT

I don't believe that a game such as GTA can show the horrors of the world (in response to suffering). They just show horrors.

But still, the ban of Manhunt 2 is very dissapointing to our economic morale. Jack Thompson believes that children can easily get their hands on a game like Manhunt. We make the ESRB rating system to prevent things like that, prevent children from getting their hands on games like Manhunt, but he still whines.

Jack Thompson hasn't won. Because for every ban for games like Manhunt, a new game like it will come. And I have a feeling it will be very soon, for example, GTA on the 360 and PS3.

I was going to buy Manhunt 2, until Dick Thompson came around.

It'll be a cold day in hell when I see Jack Thompson ruling the gaming market, controlling every game that passes. I thought the people could choose, not this dip****. I don't know, to be honest...

We let news like Paris Hilton flood our news channels (which are supposed to talk about NEWS), but we won't let games like Manhunt 2 hit the shelves. The shame...

Maybe Manhunt 2 will be released, I hope so.

i say we hire the mafia to kill him.. make him suffer, then, just to screw with him, load the game from right before he died over and over till his head explodes like a peep in a microwave. thatll show him wat violence is

Then we would seep under his level of hatred, and that isn't the way of a true gamer.

Something more Assassin...tie him on a flagpole with all the videogames he hates glued onto him. And then put a rating symbol on his forehead saying:"Rated D for Dumbass"

What better place than a video game to do this, they only show the horrors because we have such fun doing them in games.

Im sure it will, soon as Rockstar spend the $1 million to modify it and cut content.

Not the games fault, if they are then they would just as easily been influenced by Violent music and movies also.

I never said it was the games fault though ;) Referring to the parents. My friend has a 7 year old son who plays Manhunt...but he can handle it. He's good too, and he can't wait for the sequel.

Yeah i dont see problem with that if they are of sound mind etc personally its the people who do things and they dont admit to their own actions and blame games. I had GTA for my 12th birthday i think it was and i didnt turn into some crazed killer for it...

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

i see NO problem with any game. Its just all those cracked up people out there, who want to get money from sueing game industries for stupid reasons, or just want to get rid of a game they dont like, even when millions or billions of others LOVE it.:ninja:

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

I dont know why i started this topic.... i like violence lol.
maybe i wasnt thinking straight

Re: The only game that I agree to go too far

I hope Manhunt 2 will end up being released after all. Like most of you have said already, the game is for ADULTS and I think it's insulting that Jack Johnson thinks adults can't handle such a violent game. Speaks for himself. That's what is great about freedom. We have the freedom to choose to play the game or to not play the game. It's as simple as that. It's not as easy to get your hands on Mature games as it was. I used to be able to buy them myself at the age of 14 or 15 but now I get asked to show identification when I'm actually old enough to purchase them. Even if someone under the age of 17 gets to play the game, chances are, they've seen all this violence before thanks to movies.
